I have thought that as well. Some coaches are not that good, they just have better players. To be a good coach, you really need to be a great salesperson.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Me too. Been a Reds fan my entire life. Already have tickets to the Reds game at the Bristol Race track next year. Myself and two others on the board (bh2oson & KiddBrewer) took a road trip to Cincinnati, while at App State, in 1988. The date was September 16, 1988, the night Tom Browning threw the first perfect game in Cincinnati Red's history. At that time, it was the 12th perfect game in MLB history. What a night it was for sure.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 8:14 amI am a Reds fan, this is my life..AppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 8:10 amThat’s where I am with it, but this model of churning over your roster with castoffs from other programs isn’t a recipe for sustainable success. 6-7 win seasons may be the new level set each year with the occasional 9+ season. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't end up at a P4. That sucks because I think he was the best back we had and with a good off season, we would see a different Kanye in 2025. Damn!!

Some folks are going to lose interest when they have to learn a brand new roster every year. It is becoming like one and done in BB. Duke has a new team every year so some fans just don't get as close to the team. How would we feel about AE if he was gone his second year.

I go to at least one series a year. Been convenient last 4 years since living on DC area. Have Nationals stadium when the play here and Baltimore for interleague. A friend of mine and I are considering the Bristol game. I regretted not going to the Field of Dreams game a few years ago .AppState89 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 9:57 amMe too. All my Reds fans (AppGrad78, bh2oson) will tell you that I regret not going to the Field of Dreams game too. I really hate I missed that game, that's why I don't want to miss the game in Bristol. If I lived closer, I'd catch several series too.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:09 amI go to at least one series a year. Been convenient last 4 years since living on DC area. Re: Transfer Portal 2024/2025
I have been a Reds fan since ‘75. I was 12ish and just decided they were my team. Seemed like a pretty good team to follow! I had never been to a MLB game until about 10 years ago when the family was in DC for a vacation/church trip to see our teens sing at the National Cathedral (amazing). I happened to check the National and Oriole schedules and it worked out that the Reds were at Camden Yards! Great game, Votto jacked a homer, Reds won and Chapman hit 100+ in relief.AppState89 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:13 amAll my Reds fans (AppGrad78, bh2oson) will tell you that I regret not going to the Field of Dreams game too. My first two MLB games were in 76 in Cincy ...when I was 9. I was a fan before then due to 75. They were the Big Red Machine!!Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:27 amI have been a Reds fan since ‘75. I was 12ish and just decided they were my team. Seemed like a pretty good team to follow! Castle was a long shot to return, but how much PT could we expect to get from him given his constant injuries? I'm thinking he'll end up in FCS.

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
Show of hands- who besides me now about says “who cares” as it relates to guys transferring? I would love it if more stayed but frankly this is beyond ridiculous. People have started comparing college football to the NFL. Imagine if every pro player had a one year contract and a third of the league entered free agency.

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
When healthy, castle was a pretty good RB.
Not sure how good he would have been (coaches know better than I)...but I wanted to see how he would have performed at LB
