We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Black Monday
I wouldn’t expect anything until Thursday or maybe late Wednesday. But National Signing Day might give some clues.

Re: Black Monday
I feel like if it were going to happen, it would have happened today.
However, to be fair, I don’t know all the finer points to making a change, but it usually doesn’t take long if it’s going to happen.

Anything that was going to done has likely taken place. The announcements likely come after NSD.

Now time for a real national search that ends with the best qualified coach that we can afford.

I would hope that we have already started way down that road at this point. I think we have about 4 days to get this done, shore up commits and sift through the Transfer portal.

It’s quite funny how often you are wrong. You act like you are in the know but actually know nothing.

Re: Black Monday
I hate it for Clark and his family. Having fired folks and been fired a few times myself the personal part of it isn't good. Especially around the holidays.
With that said I personally don't think there were any other options moving forward with him at the helm. The owner of the company has a saying that fit matters. It's true, not everyone is a good fit at what they do.
Wish Coach Clark luck in his future landing site. Nothing personal, no hate, no ill will.

Agree but his profession is highly paid and success based. He will land another highly paid job.Yosefus wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 5:07 pmI hate it for Clark and his family. Having fired folks and been fired a few times myself the personal part of it isn't good. Especially around the holidays.

Re: Black Monday
I will say this: I didn’t think Gillin would fire Clark, for reasons I’ve shared elsewhere on this board. That comes from years of working in corporate America where we work to remove emotion from staffing decisions and look at the larger strategic/tactical picture. All of this said, I do have more respect for Gillin this morning because he made a tough choice without having air cover to back him up.
And I don’t mind admitting I was wrong on my prediction. I wasn’t excited about the prospects for App Football with SC remaining at the wheel; it was not going to be good for the program. The numbers don’t lie, and the numbers were bad and getting worse. The product on the field was wildly inconsistent from week to week, in-game decision making continued to be a mystery and a grand total of zero people were excited about App’s prospects for 2025 with Clark running the show.
We all love App State, and I’m excited about the future of the program. GO APP!

Re: Black Monday
In corporate America we let underperforming employees slide all the time. You can hide a person for decades if you don’t have the backbone to admit a mistake. It’s not as easy for a CEO to survive years of underperformance.Bootsy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:36 amI will say this: I didn’t think Gillin would fire Clark, for reasons I’ve shared elsewhere on this board.
