Re: What’s Your Plan
To the original question - on December 2nd I will prep for the holidays and getting a few days of fishing into the schedule. And... get ready for next season - changes or no changes. I will pull for App no matter what the decision is on Clark or another aspect of the program.

Re: What’s Your Plan
If he returns, I will continue to attend 1 home and try for 1 away game a year. Love Boone too much to let a bad coach and team keep me away. Will probably just give to baseball program for now in terms of dollars.
If we do can him Dec. 2, I’ll probably have a nice bourbon to celebrate and get amped for the new coach/new energy and continue to donate to the football program as well as baseball.

Agreed. We just got a 2026 commit but I wonder how long that lasts.KentHogan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 3:03 pmWith the way we’re playing and embarrassing ourselves, I would say future recruiting is already in big trouble.

Re: What’s Your Plan
I have a question regarding all of this. Injuries seem to be a major thing every year for us. What do we attribute that to? Is it just bad luck? I have a background in exercise science, so when we have the amount of injuries that we have year in and year out, my mind immediately goes to strength and conditioning. There was a ton of hype around Greenhalgh when he came in. Do we think he’s living up to the hype? Along with injuries, I feel like we are a step slower than every other team and we get pushed around in the trenches more often than not. I have no inside information on the S&C program, but my gut is telling maybe we still have major issues there.

It’s a risk to move on. We don’t know what we’re going to get. It’s a risk not to move on because we already know what we’ve got. Which risk is bigger? We may go 3-9 next year in either scenario. The cupboard seems pretty bare. My opinion is that 5 years is more than sufficient time to make a solid determination. If we’re going 3-9 either way then I want to do it with a new coach who might be able to turn things around. I do not have any faith that Clark can do that.

I will strongly consider doing 3 things if Clark is not fired:AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 9:44 amAs we saw this past Tuesday the reaction of folks when results didn’t meet expectations. So I will ask this of all that are of the mindset that it is time to move on.
What is your plan come December 2nd if the buyout doesn’t occur and Shawn comes back next year? Will there be a revolt? Will Yosef Club donations cease? Will season tickets be turned in? I’m genuinely curious as I understand the frustration and disappointment. I also understand the finger pointing towards one guy. I can’t say that I agree with it, but I do understand it. So I ask you all that want a change. What is your plan should you not get your wish? Have a great day.
1. Cutting Season Tickets. I will consider this because it seems I can attend just as many games as I want without paying the parking. We only show up as a team for the big games on Saturday so why should I be any different?
2. Stopping NIL contributions to the collective - I have already stopped this after the South Alabama performance because it came clear that this staff is incapable of utilizing these funds correctly to build a team. I am very open to restarting this under a new regime and I plan to do so. I do not see the return on value under Clark because of this season. We built up the NIL pool to the most it’s ever been and look what happened - poor recruitment and talent identification.
3. Spend less money. This will be the result of more apathy due to the declining results. If I don’t attend all the games, how can I spend as much money on concessions, apparel, etc.. Simple economics here. This will happen to most people and will be the biggest problem with keeping Clark.

Re: What’s Your Plan
I think that is a very fair question to ask and could be part of any conditions of retention if there is a feeling that the S&C program has failed.MtnMan14 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 6:57 pmI have a question regarding all of this. Re: What’s Your Plan
I will renew season tickets and be in Boise regardless next year. Winning is more fun, but I'll be at every home game I'm able to attend regardless. (and I'll be in Conway in two years expecting an early exodus of their student body)

I honestly don’t get people who want to make a problem worse by pulling support….so short sighted

I’ll be there. I’ll be as apathetic as I’ve ever been, but I’ll be there. I used to go to games and be absolutely infuriated when we lost, now I feel nothing when we do. That’s not a good thing. I love my tailgate people though.

That is one of the most truthful and saddest posts I’ve ever read on this board.
It’s time to give the fanbase hope again. Thanks for sharing what so many are feeling.

We know what we currently have, and it’s not acceptable. What’s that old saying about the definition of insanity?appst89 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 7:14 pmIt’s a risk to move on. Many people on here have pointed out there’s no reason to make a change if donations and ticket sales remain strong.
And they’re not 100% wrong. Why spend money and take a risk if the fan base will accept it.
If the admin won’t make the call for the good of the program, they will have to be forced by market dynamics.

Yup- I have a group text with about 10 buddies who are fans. Got a couple of “typicals” after ccu scored on the 1st drive and then some fire Clark’s the morning after. Used to have 100s of texts on away game days and flurries if we were down 7.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 10:20 pmI’ll be there. Fans come and go . Supporters invest and commit for the long haul. Win or lose I’m going to support the program. I’m also going to voice my opinion regarding the state of the program. That too , is part of the deal.

Re: What’s Your Plan
Indeed. Don't ask me to come to games or spend my money and expect me to shut up. We all get to voice our opinion and if Gillin or anyone on staff refuses to hear it and listen then they need to be fired or we should stay home and see how they do without our money. Anyone who invests in the program has the right to voice their opinion!
