Re: Moving on to South Alabama
We have defensive guys doing that hands in the air 4th quarter thing even though we are absolutely getting trashed. I don’t know exactly what is expected of our coach on the sideline but every time they show him it’s the same lost look on his face. I don’t like the coaches who go nuts but something in between would be nice. If this is how we are going to be as a program just save money and drop back to FCS and play the Woffords and CIDs

Re: Moving on to South Alabama
Losing two nose tackles from your 3-4 scheme on a Saturday night when you have a game on Thursday, while your opponent had a week after playing a Division 2 team, effectively giving them 2.5 weeks off, makes a difference.MtnMan14 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:09 pm1. Everyone said that about castle after Clemson.ericsaid wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:08 pm1. Haywood needs to be the starter, clearly
2. South Alabama played what amounts to a Division 2 school on a Thursday while App played ECU on a Saturday night, away. The Sun Belt should have never allowed this game to take place on a Thursday under those circumstances
3. With two redzone turnovers, had App scored on those, you would've taken one score away from South Alabama and given two to App, and we'd have a one score game
It's incredibly bad, but the mistakes are just killer right now, as are the depth issues on defense. Jordan Favors has already made a difference in coverage as well.
2. That’s an excuse, we just suck.
3. Coulda, woulda, shoulda

2014 says hi. Luckily, Ponce was here for that. Hopefully someone can take charge and turn this around. I really expected more from Sloan.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:13 pmWe have defensive guys doing that hands in the air 4th quarter thing even though we are absolutely getting trashed. Am I the only one who'd like Dan Mullen out of the press box and on our sideline?

Re: Moving on to South Alabama
We.have absolutely no speed anymore. Defense is slow as shit. Outside of Haywood no burst at the RB position. Castle needs to play FCS ball. Roberts is a drag leg that has to have a superior OL. We have no stud potential at all with the RB position. Special teams suck no true return man.. Tackling like girls. SBamy is not only bigger but faster across the board. Our recruiting has got to improve. We have very few frosh that can break through anymore ....either we can't coach up or the talent isn't there.
KICK ASS!!!

Re: Moving on to South Alabama
Both. Coaching stinks AND recruited no talent. The reason none of our guys get poached in 4 years of TP is because they aren’t good enough (outside of McLeod)CornCobPipes wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:18 pmWe.have absolutely no speed anymore. Those nose tackles play offense too?ericsaid wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:14 pmLosing two nose tackles from your 3-4 scheme on a Saturday night when you have a game on Thursday, while your opponent had a week after playing a Division 2 team, effectively giving them 2.5 weeks off, makes a difference.MtnMan14 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:09 pm1. Oh we’re gonna get all of Liberty we can handle, and then some. Chadwell is hard as a cast iron pipe right now (and Falwell is in the corner, excitedly watching)NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 9:21 pmGive us Liberty or give us death. Looks like both!
