Love the series, always wanted to see a game there.

On the opposite side of the equation, we have done YS and Tetons..Very good trip.appvette wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:24 pmI've done Utah the past couple years (including the 5 NPs), so it'll be Yellowstone and Tetons for me. Definitely recommend doing the Utah tour though for people who haven't experienced it. Will be an awesome trip!BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:04 pmFlying into SLC has a variety of options including the 5 national parks in Utah. Also, as mentioned Yellowstone and Tetons are awesome.
Should be fun. It will be one of our vacations. So, we will do a week on the trip
Have had the Utah National Parks on my To Do list

Re: App State vs Boise State, 25 and 27
My advice would be to hit the 5 NPs but plan for other things also. There is stuff in Utah that is just as cool as the NPs that don't have the huge crowds. Zion was especially bad... Worse than Disney!BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 2:16 pmOn the opposite side of the equation, we have done YS and Tetons..Very good trip.appvette wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:24 pmI've done Utah the past couple years (including the 5 NPs), so it'll be Yellowstone and Tetons for me. When you get to the Oregon/Idaho border, there is an Ore-Ida processing plant. That's when it hits you. "Ore-Ida, hmmm, like Oregon and Idaho." I love me some Crispy Crowns.

Wife is very happy about this one. She has family in Boise and has been asking for years when App would have a game there. Already looking forward to it.

I liken this to our Montana series back in the day. Game recognizing game.

Trip to Wyoming was fantastic. Had a great time except for the final score. This should be just as good or better. Been hoping to schedule them for a while.

All that soil is so rich from the volcanic eruptions created by the subduction of the Juan de Fuca plate underneath the North American plate. I am not sure if anything else would grow there even better than potatoes but they make a great potato in that part of the country.AppinVA wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 4:34 pmI’ve never put that two-and-two together.brocktune90 wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 1:27 pmHeck yes! Many of us have compared our programs with the similarities. Pretty cool couple of games. I’ll take Boise over Bob Morris all day.

Boise State was the darling of college football after they beat Oklahoma 1 January 2007 43-42. Then Appalachian became the darling of college football after they beat Michigan 1 September 2007 34-32. I wonder if there are any Boise State fans that despise Appalachian, because of that.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 10:13 amMany of us have compared our programs with the similarities. It did get us in the same commercial.

I imagine it would be to a lesser extent how Montana felt about App in 1-AA/FCS.AppWyo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 12:26 pmBoise State was the darling of college football after they beat Oklahoma 1 January 2007 43-42. Re: App State vs Boise State, 25 and 27
Interesting thought. I think if we were FBS at the time, there could be a little more “hate”. Could not pick a better match up for us. Hoping we can continue this trend of picking mid level regional P5s that are winnable and top 5 G5 programs like Boise State, Memphis, UTSA, and Tulane. The MAC and conference USA don’t really move the needle aside from Liberty at this point. Hoping we look to the top Mountain West and top America teams moving forward.AppWyo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 12:26 pmBoise State was the darling of college football after they beat Oklahoma 1 January 2007 43-42. Both of our games had the same broadcast team (Thom Brennaman and Charles Davies)AppWyo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 12:26 pmBoise State was the darling of college football after they beat Oklahoma 1 January 2007 43-42. Re: App State vs Boise State, 25 and 27
btw, last year, Boise canceled a two game series with East Carolina. Now they've signed up with us. It's taken a while, but the ECU fans made me aware of this, and they understand that App has passed them as the G5 power in the region.
