That night in Monroe is etched in my memory. Watching his dad stand in stunned silence as we are celebrating with him. And him with the game ball in hand and tears in his eyes telling me about how rewarding it felt to see his son silence his critics with that kick. These kids put up with a lot thanks to social media. It was a very sobering moment to see how that affected my friend.
