I agree with this. However, if we are going to expend dollars on KBS I vote seats over tower.

On the bright side, we have plenty of time to develop a plan for the stadium.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
I believe most of the suites in the new tower have commitments in place. That's a lot of long term funding secured if so. We definitely need to upgrade/expand seats for the regular fans, but I can see why they'd want to get this tower done first. I do believe it will also address some issues that impact everyone on the East Side though.
My only fear is that they'll take the rest of us for granted until people get mad and stop showing up.

When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

More seats are needed now. Parents and casual fans can't get tickets to games and the hill is an accident waiting to happen. Students need 2K to 3K more seats (which would be a great application of their student fees)311neers wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 4:33 pmWe couldn’t even finish the NEZ properly and we’re talking about a 3rd deck?! I thought someone demanded that it was fully funded or “the money was there”? Adamant they were im sure.

Anyone know if recent renderings of the east side tower is available? Or is it the same as what has previously been shared?JTApps1 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 9:27 pmI believe most of the suites in the new tower have commitments in place. It seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. And of course all of these should be behind keeping Kearns (which should be our top priority).

You are so right! I would even go a step further and say the hill is a DISASTER waiting to happen!

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
The Women's Soccer and Field Hockey Coaches both were given extensions. My thoughts are that those two contracts were put in place, with Kerns being the next matter of business. Could be totally unrelated, but the timing seems right. Sign him to an extension/up the buyout and it's a win/win at this point.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 7:00 amIt seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. The slip and slide down the hill during the rain would go away if concrete..it was a game within the game..

Missouri filling in end zone but keeping the hill. Take notes App, but for 1/3rd the price.
If only this could have been our NEZ.

Rapid inflation has the softball field to over 4 million.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 7:00 amIt seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. Based on the current shrinkflation trend, I’d expect it to also be approximately half the size of a standard softball field for the same price.Tru2ASU wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 5:49 pmRapid inflation has the softball field to over 4 million.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 7:00 amIt seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. Enhance not expand, so many folks going to walk with how things are going. You may not be one of them, or agree why, but it’s going to happen. Maybe younger alumni who seem to have a greater appetite for the new normal will start shelling out and keep it all going.
