Theres really nothing to address. These are quick mockups to give people an idea of things and generate excitement and $$$. Construction on the new Sofield can't begin until Summer 2024 at earliest.
Good news is that it's mostly open space on the inside, so 12 months is possible if you have all the supplies (and that's a big if).
No chance in hell the East Side is done before Fall 2025. They haven't even submitted estimates or had real drawings or anything like that.
I do wish Gillin would address the inconsistencies in the renderings, such as wrap-around seating in the East Side piece and no scoreboard or Jerry Moore Plaza in the Sofield drawings.

Re: Initial rendering of new Sofield Indoor Facility
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned that in the new renderings there are bleachers shown at miller hill in the SEZ. I know lots of folks are up in arms about that. Personally I like the “complete” look of the stadium with bleachers. Probably also safer since you can’t turn it into a slip and slide every game lol
I should clarify I’m referring to the rendering of the new east side in the email that was sent and not the one of the new indoor facility.

Patrick Ransdell has replied on Twitter a couple times that the hill isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. The architect took some liberties with the hill, according to Patrick.MtnMan14 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 1:00 pmI’m surprised nobody has mentioned that in the new renderings there are bleachers shown at miller hill in the SEZ. This survey was created for anyone and everyone to show interest in learning more about the potential East Tower Project. Within this project, and if approved, App State Athletics will be creating approximately 1500 premium seats at Kidd Brewer Stadium with Club Seating, Loge Boxes, and Suites. If approved, completion would be approximately the 2027 season or beyond. The more pledged commitments we receive the quicker the project can move.

The capital donation (paid over five years) by location:
- club seats (1-5 seats) $25k plus $1,100/seat annual donation
- loge boxes (6 seats) $50k plus $10k annual fund
- large box (20 seats) $250k minimum, $35k annually for tickets
I’m excited if we have the demand for those tickets!

Re: Initial rendering of new Sofield Indoor Facility
This is what I was communicated. I was also communicated that some west side folks have committed to east side (may open up some spots on west side club seats if the moved to loge boxes on east side). Was also communicated that some NEZ commitments to east side. Hopefully, there is demand all around. It would be good for athletics department all around.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 6:35 pmThe capital donation (paid over five years) by location:

I'm assuming that this was communicated to garner the commitment necessary to go forward. The last I had heard was that the funding wasn't there yet for the East side expansion.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 6:38 amThis is what I was communicated. Re: Initial rendering of new Sofield Indoor Facility
Does anyone know if these prices are consistent with other premium areas of the stadium?
Seems like the capital gift is more.
Do we think of some move/upgrade to loge box, and seats open in west or nez capital gifts for those seats will all be similar?
Without much math I’m guessing west suites & seats, nez seats and potential east suites and seats have to equal over 3k. Do we have over 3k that can afford a 25k capital gift plus x amount per year plus ticket cost?

It’s not really 3k, it’s more like 700 as those donors will occupy ~4 seats on average.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 11:18 amDoes anyone know if these prices are consistent with other premium areas of the stadium?

And for the east side it’s probably 250 families for the seats opening up. Demand could definitely be that high.
Sometimes a couple of families go in together for the capital donation and split the tickets too.

No, no. The funding is so secured that all this already exists. We’ve got people reminiscing about a sandwich shop that probably went out of business in 1951 and people arguing about facility renderings. This is a damn good Yosef’s Cabin thread.
