I say we go down swinging. The east is still up for grabs with the best teams ahead of us and JMU ineligible. Let’s use Joey as the gun slinger he is and see what he can do. It would take a 5-0 finish but why crawl into a hole?
You have 5 posts on here..... You're hired as head coach. Lol. No way we go 5-0. Come one now.

Could be worse…Charlotte beating ECU is pretty bad.
Houston will be available, there was a big push for him 4-5 years ago, maybe that will appease some of the Clarkers 😂

Nate Johnson is a DAWG.

Just putting a little positivity out there in this really sucky situation.

This program has been soulless for 2 seasons. Bye Clark. It's been fun.
It’s been fun?
I went to the TXAM game and the Collge Gameday game the next week. It was fun for 2 weeks.

Doug Gillen, you are on the clock. Fair or not, the decisions you make from here will likely define your career at App. This is the lowest point in our football program for the 35+ years I've been a fan.

Gillian should pay the buyout. A contract extension after the programs first bowl loss, to an unproven coach who then disassembles the program? What a garbage way to lose $1 million.
That's what burns me most. To this day it makes my blood boil.

I agree and hope that’s the team mentality. Would love nothing more than winning out. I just don’t trust these kids being prepared for the games….and I don’t blame the kids. That being said I will still be at home or in Kidd Brewer pulling for them each week hoping for the best.

Please tell me the $1M buyout won't be a big deal to accomplish.
It will not be hard. Could probably do $3M if we wanted to.
The day after our next loss I will be interested to see if our big money boosters all call and send it in.
You don’t think they’re on the phone right now?
No question that they are.

It’s sad.

Aguilar played a great, nearly perfect game other than the key fumble on 2nd and 1. Even under duress, the pass to Jackson was on the money, the two passes to Strohman were where they needed to be, clutch throws to Robinson all night.
We didn’t turn the ball over, made all of our 4th Down attempts and still couldn’t get the W + all of our TD’s were scored in 4th down.
We’ve reached the point where we have no margin for error to get a win

Their QB made plays all night escaping the pocket to his right. On 4th down, contain that side of the pocket/take away the first option

Yes he is! The Front 4 on D is the ONLY thing that has improved on the entire team and they are still young. Hopper is a stud too.

I read the negativity, a lot of it is warranted, I have played and watched enough football to know this team has talent, but change in game plan has to be done or it is the same story the last 5 games. A spark “could” change things, even if we have to see what Burger brings to the table.

Remember those days when we’d be up by 2 scores and throttle down and as fans we’d sweat the ending?

I miss those days.

Not sure what to say guys. I'm extremely upset, but I don't want to say something I'll regret. I appreciate y'all, guess I'll just play some shooter games and take out the aggression. This is very poor performance for how much talent we have.
I'm not sure we have the talent we think we do.
Exactly…name one player on this team besides Noel and possibly Parker that has all-conference talent.

For sure. The question is would we lose to our 2013 team

If Aguilar could only run or at least have a little quickness. He does need to improve on the reads. He can make some nice throws.

Zero complaints about our QB play. I hated the zone read on 2nd and 1. It's pointless to continue to compare to and refer to teams from past seasons. Players change but why not go heavy with a tight end and smash them for a freaking yard? When they punted the ball to us I expected 3 runs and a punt. The pass to Wilson was good.

How many games have we shitted away in a year and a half?
