Thanks, same here. Just not spending any more on TV and internet. At $250 a month now
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Moving On To ODU
Someone mentioned on here that FUBO has the NFL Network as a channel and there is a free trial for the service.

Yikes. With Spectrum Internet and YouTube TV, I pay less than $150.

Re: Moving On To ODU
Yes, FUBO has NFL Network and the game shows on the guide.
I switched from Spectrum when they lost ESPN at the beginning of September. I pay $85/mo and have had a good experience so far. No problems with the service (no lagging or buffering), and the app is fairly intuitive. Combined with Spectrum internet (which will be replaced once fiber finishes being run through my neighborhood next year), I am saving $100/mo. That money will go to Yosef next year.
Give 'em hell!

I agree. It was a remarkably short presser.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 2:57 pmLooks like he couldn't get out of there fast enough, you could tell he didn't want to be there.

Well, kind of hard to lengthen it or be interested when I'm assuming exactly one person was there from the media considering he said hello to one name at the very beginning.Yosefus wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:33 amI agree. And this is why app state football can’t afford to slip. Reading from a script at warp speed and stuttering every other word isn't a good sign. Someone help me out here, technically we're 1-1 this week. Last week we were 1-0 and lost. How can we be 0-0 now?Yosefus wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:33 amI agree. Re: Moving On To ODU
There was only one person in attendance, and they talk at practices regularly, so everyone involved probably saw that as a waste of time.

Concern about the coach in one of these things is not a good sign. These things suck and I would want to get out also. Hell the ODU coach spent half his time talking about turf. This is just a hugh waste of a coaches time.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 8:30 amReading from a script at warp speed and stuttering every other word isn't a good sign. Re: Moving On To ODU
App's only lost one Belt game so far and we still get to play about every other competitor going forward. The season isn't over by a long shot and win a couple of games, get some confidence and shock the Belt. Just keep packing The Rock and give these guys all the support that we can. This team could easily be 6-0 (or 1-5) at this point; the talent is there, just got to limit the mistakes and play App football. Time to make some noise.....

Re: Moving On To ODU
Same here! I'm so ready to be done completely with Spectrum. I shed their cable a good while ago but for one reason or another have stuck around with their internet. MetroNet is currently building out the fiber network for all of Hickory and they are now in the final months in the quadrant just across the main thoroughfare from my street. I imagine they'll be moving into my neighborhood early next year and if all goes well, I look forward to calling Spectrum and telling them where to stick it by early Spring. Re: Moving On To ODU
I live in Fort Mill (York County, SC) so Comporium has been the only game in town for broadband internet until fairly recently. There still aren't really competing options for Cable broadband, but I recently switched to a 5G router through my cell phone provider and have been very happy with it. For $50 a month, I get speeds that are faster than what my mother gets from her Spectrum cable router at a higher price.
I will say that I briefly had issues with Hulu because 5G routers can change IP address at times and Hulu wanted to interpret that as a change in location. They were good about re-setting it when I explained and it stopped being an issue so maybe they figured it out.
I rely on my internet for all my TV needs as well as working from home a couple of days a week so I need reliable service and so far I can't complain.

Re: Moving On To ODU
I like what I heard on Mountaineer Talk. I’m also an optimist. Liked hearing about the energy at practice.
Gotta admit, hearing about the shock plays and ability of ODU to score quick on big plays, has me worried. Our 2 Achilles heels this year are big plays on D, and turnovers on offense.
Clean it up, and get the W, come on boys!
GO APPS!!

Re: Moving On To ODU
Weather has adjusted the high school football schedule enough this weekend that my wife & I might be able to make a trip to VA Beach and the game. What's the best way to get tickets? Through ASU or are there cheaper options out there?
