The 2nd td wasn’t funderburks fault. He was supposed to have safety help and favors cheated too much inside and he knew it, you saw him grabbing his helmet in frustration.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:22 pmI said he had to get it together. He has done so......I typed that prior to the second hit. Thanks for playing though plus two big hits don't make up for ULM last week and the ones he letting sail over him tonight. He's got to step it up more in the second.OldAppPlayer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:18 pmFunderburk made the two biggest hits of the game and got his teammates and the crowd fired up. The offense is finally starting to get in rhythm and then we have a review for targeting. You might of been spending too much time coaching soccer to actually follow the game.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:08 pmI've been coaching soccer tonight and watching during practice. Everytime I look at our offense it looks so confused..... so disjointed. On offense Joey has got to get it together or Burger needs to come back. On defense we have made some adjustments and Funderburk has got to get it together. Coaches are lucky Coastal is shooting themselves with penalties. And yet we don't capitalize with the ball and 2 min in the half....

Re: Coastal discussion
Totally off topic (and possibly just in time to break the tension of this season), but good lord am I tired of marching bands performing Beatles medleys and 60s/70s rock tributes, especially since our band just did a very similar show a few seasons back.
They’re talented as hell and I’m grateful for their dedication, but if I hear one more marching band arrangement of Pinball Wizard, I may lose my marbles. I’d love to see our band do something totally out of the box.

Yeah. And for some reason no matter if we play Georgia or ULM we play to that opponent and it’s going to be a nail biter.

Re: Coastal discussion
I understand you’re point, but I’d rather risk it to go up before half and get the ball again second half. Could’ve been a 14 point swing. Plus, the Chants almost go back to the 35 in 2-3 plays anyway.1997CLT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:24 pmDisagree with your take here. Punting was the right call IMO. Fail to convert gives them the ball at our 35. We had some momentum and get the ball in the second half.
Not opposed to a hard count or even wasting a TO, but it's not worth the risk.
Also it was the end of the first half, not second.

Re: Coastal discussion
That would be a terrible call to go for it on 4th down that deep in our territory, especially considering we have trouble getting 2 yards when we need it.

It's the same junk they made me play in HS marching band back in the 90s.8993 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:25 pmTotally off topic (and possibly just in time to break the tension of this season), but good lord am I tired of marching bands performing Beatles medleys and 60s/70s rock tributes, especially since our band just did a very similar show a few seasons back.

Re: Coastal discussion
I was ok with the call. We didn’t need to give them a shorter field when we had been gaining momentum. Sadly, I didn’t trust us to get the 2 yards either. Let’s see what adjustments are made and this 2nd half is going to give us an idea of what we are made of.

Roberts starting to move the ball a bit. Maybe that can open up the vertical pass game
