Will NEZ tix be electronic this year?
Anyone know? Or hard copy only as in years past. On my account it says "mobile delivery," just like for the other seats in the regular stands. But I haven't read anywhere anything definite about this; I emailed my Yosef contact to ask this so if I hear back I'll let everyone know what he says but just wondering if anyone already knew?
Thanks,
MJ

Yosef Club said in a March Zoom meeting that premium seat holders will have a mobile ticketing option this season.

They'll be physical. I think they'll always be physical unless we get some sort of geofencing system which will be wayyyyyy down the road.

This is out of my area, but why would they need a geofence? Couldn't they simply have a barcode on the PP and have someone at the entrance scan it and print off a ticket with space # you leave on your dash?ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 8:21 amThey'll be physical. Out of my area too but I would think that would slow things down too much to do it that way, especially in more crowded lots. Could be wrong though.

It's cheaper to have 6 hard copies than pay 2-3 people per lot, per home game to scan. Not to mention the initial equipment purchase cost and the ongoing maintenance cost. I can't remember the exact cost, but it's something like $3 per season ticket holder to have their passes printed and shipped -- so very minimal one time cost. We'll easily spend more than the $10k on labor to scan passes.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 9:12 amWent to Cincinnati game at Camden. ROTC currently volunteers their time for some lots (if not all) but there is currently a delay in getting in to lots with ROTC just checking to make sure it's the right pass. I can only imagine the complaints if they have to scan everyone.
Not to mention the older fan base that doesn't want everything on their phone...

Sounds like trying to fix something that isn't broken.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 9:06 amOut of my area too but I would think that would slow things down too much to do it that way, especially in more crowded lots. Could be wrong though.

I guess technically hard copy tix for entrance to the game was not broken either (well, matter of opinion) , but they still went to etix. Anyway, just curious as I thought they mentioned last year they would be going to ePP as well...but maybe down the road.TheMoody1 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 9:54 amSounds like trying to fix something that isn't broken.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 9:06 amOut of my area too but I would think that would slow things down too much to do it that way, especially in more crowded lots. The difference is the equipment to scan a ticket or a phone is the same. That's not an added cost. In fact, it's a cost savings not having the paper tickets since the action to get in the gate is the same -- still need to be scanned.APP93 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 10:00 amI guess technically hard copy tix for entrance to the game was not broken either (well, matter of opinion) , but they still went to etix.
