We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Re: PEOPLES
He will get a shot. Tons of injury-prone RBs get a chance in the late rounds or UDFA. You just don't hear about 90% of them because they never make it off the practice squads before getting cut.....But they get their shot.
I've mentioned before on here that I think he could make a depth chart, and I stand by that.

Re: PEOPLES
There is no question he is the most physically talented RB to ever play at App State. He just has not played enough games and put up enough numbers to put up there with Settle yet. We have never had one like Peoples and he showed those flashes against A&M, North Texas, and in that run against MTSU in the bowl game a few years ago. Just too bad he has not put it together and shown consistently over a 12 game season.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 2:10 pmThat non-football injury may be flaring up?
The line is back to -9.5
My take on Peoples is he is a back with size, strength, power, and speed. A threat to take it to the house at any time as long as he's healthy. Had he been healthy and no covid strange seasons, maybe he's up there with John Settle as 1 of the best backs in APP uniform, even though he's shared time because of the differences in offenses of the eras.

Re: PEOPLES
My thoughts exactly about Peoples. In retrospect it is amazing for Settle to be able to do what he did and not miss any extended length of play because of injury in an offense where he was the bread and butter of his era - look at the crazy number of carries- Also, most of us old guys know Settle played well enough and made a Pro Bowl.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 11:07 pmThere is no question he is the most physically talented RB to ever play at App State. Re: PEOPLES
I don't care if we get the yards passing or rushing. If we have to pass 70% of the time to win and put up 40 points against a team then I say do it. If we can just run 70% of the time and do the same then do it. I don't care who gets it as long as we get it. Well, there you have it. Another game time decision, which is getting quite old. My guess is a no go tonight but hope he plays!

I feel safe in saying that Cobb is out. The other two are good to go unless something happens in warm ups.

Nah, give me Settle every time. Cam is great if he gets to the second level, but Settle was going to get you three even if the lineman missed a block.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 11:07 pm

Tonight is a nationally televised game so I’m sure Peoples will show up and dominate.

Re: PEOPLES
I agree on the style. I'm talking about the strength, size, and speed combo of Cam. He has had 4-5 plays that show he can do things nobody has before in Boone but I like Settle more for consistency. Cam has to get past the line to make his magic truly happen so we see a lot of reps where he just gets stopped too easy. To me John Settle is our best RB of all-time.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 11:02 amNah, give me Settle every time. What is interesting is that Cam has the most upside and was a player who should have grown into a 2nd or 3rd round pick but won't happen while Settle was a UDFA who proved he probably should have been a top 100 pick in his draft class.
