NC state Series
It seems rumors are swirling about a future H&H with the Wolfpack. Would be a job well done by DG if true.

I will have a ~3 YO and a ~5 YO. I think they will be able to make it through a full game by that point.yosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 9:31 amIt seems rumors are swirling about a future H&H with the Wolfpack. Would be a job well done by DG if true.

I’ll take this moment to state something important: Doug Gillin is the best AD we’ve ever had and we should pay him whatever he wants whenever he wants it.

Re: NC state Series
A few years ago we were scheduling a four game series with ECU with a one in Boone, two in Greenville, and one in Charlotte.
Today we're scheduling a home and home with an in-state P5. That my friends is progress, great job Doug and Co.
Kuddos to NCSU for stepping up to the plate.

Agree, that's significant. Interested to hear any details about the contract that may come out.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 10:09 amA few years ago we were scheduling a four game series with ECU with a one in Boone, two in Greenville, and one in Charlotte.

Glad State is on board, yes. Kudos to Miami, Wake and UNC for stepping up to the plate much sooner, though.

Re: NC state Series
The rumor years ago was that NC Stated wanted 2 or 3 home games for one trip to Boone.

Re: NC state Series
I don't want to be a dark cloud of pessimism, but as the parent of a 6.5 y/o and 4 y/o (also 15 mth old), I wouldn't count on them making it through an entire football game. I bring my oldest to hockey games and he does ok (fast moving, 2 intermissions), but even that is hit and miss. I'm testing him out for his first football game vs Citadel this year. I'd strongly recommend a pre NC State walkthrough /dress rehearsal vs some lesser opponent (high school game even) or in some other setting before wagering having to leave such a high stakes game in the 1st. I have season tix next to a family who had similar aged kids, and only once did they make it to the second quarter. The wife doesn't even attempt...I saw that dad bring 3 young kids by himself. That's some App State love and some awesome dadness. (Also gonna be super hot probably, b/c likely early Sept game...kids and heat, just a thought)BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 9:42 amI will have a ~3 YO and a ~5 YO. Re: NC state Series
That is a great deal AND just a few years out rather than 2030+. Great win for DG and it will make for a great schedule in the near term upcoming years. Great for SOS.

Re: NC state Series
shoulda settled 1 in Boone 1 in Raleigh 1 in Charlotte split tickets each schools keeps the revenue from the tickets they sell. Thats assuming CLT center city partners or whoever runs the Charlotte events at BoA would be down, but id assume they would.

Re: NC state Series
My wife and I are brining our almost 3 yr old and 1 yr old into the game this Saturday. I'm definitely nervous with how crazy it's going to be but can't miss it. We took them to 3 games last year and each game got better as far as how long we stayed. Thought's and prayer's are welcome.canes_mj wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 10:45 amI don't want to be a dark cloud of pessimism, but as the parent of a 6.5 y/o and 4 y/o (also 15 mth old), I wouldn't count on them making it through an entire football game.
