Unis for ECU game
I’m normally not one that cares what we wear as long as we go out and play hard. However, I just wondered since this game is being played at a neutral site, what combination of unis we will wear.

Re: Unis for ECU game
It’s at a neutral site but I believe that it is our game. We should get first choice and I expect it to be black jerseys.Budman2154 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:15 amI’m normally not one that cares what we wear as long as we go out and play hard. Re: Unis for ECU game
Might make the start of the game a tad bit warmer for them, but considering the 7:30pm start and the 82 degree high that day, should be in the upper 70's come game time and all-black uni's are MEAN.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:18 amIt’s at a neutral site but I believe that it is our game. What a stark contrast to the game at ECU in '09.

Re: Unis for ECU game
that was the hottest I've ever been in my entire life. I made a promise to myself I would never go back to the wasteland known as Greenville, NC after that day. Its an easy promise to keep.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:24 amMight make the start of the game a tad bit warmer for them, but considering the 7:30pm start and the 82 degree high that day, should be in the upper 70's come game time and all-black uni's are MEAN.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:18 amIt’s at a neutral site but I believe that it is our game. I didn’t do EZU but I did go to Baton Rouge. For those that went to both, how did they compare. BR was miserable.

I was also there that day. I was born and raised in ENC; the heat and humidity are in my DNA. But that day hit different, it was as if we were on the surface of the sun. I've even talked to ECU folks recently about that game and they concur that game was miserable.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:36 amthat was the hottest I've ever been in my entire life. Re: Unis for ECU game
ECU was the hottest game (any sport) I’ve ever been too … by a lot. You would go to the concession area and people were laying down on the concrete… like everywhere. If I remember right, there were over 300 EMS calls for heat related situations. Oppressive heat and humidity. I did not go to BR.

Re: Unis for ECU game
I never made it to Greenville or Baton Rouge but I was in Spartanburg for Wofford in 2007. Jiminy crickets that was absolutely the most miserable hot humid environment for a football game I've ever sat through.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 9:48 amECU was the hottest game (any sport) I’ve ever been too … by a lot. We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Re: Unis for ECU game
Again, with this heat. I'm assuming we go more with white or gold jersey with black pants. ECU likely wears purple.

Re: Unis for ECU game
It was brutal. The tv gods started the game at noon. The EMS folks were busy.

Re: Unis for ECU game
I hope we come out in All Blacks.. helmet, Jersey, pants....
With that said, will not be surprised if something new from helmet or rest of uni perspective.....got to have items to sell at end of year auction...

Re: Unis for ECU game
Since we're the home team, I assume we'll be in our colors, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us in the gold jerseys. I'm hoping it's not the all gold.

Re: Unis for ECU game
Didn't go to the game in Greenville, but I was there in Baton Rouge in '08... that heat was the most oppressively humid I've ever experienced. There was also a hurricane coming in, which I think cranked up the humidity even further. The game was supposed to be played in primetime, which would've been more bearable. Due to the storm, it got moved up to the early start time. Don't plan on going back down there again unless it's mid October or later.

Re: Unis for ECU game
I was at the Greenville game as well. In the cheap seats, all aluminum and up high. It was like sitting on a sheet of tin. So hot I left with full mini-bottles still in my pockets. Never. Going. Back.

Re: Unis for ECU game
Baton Rouge was bad, as well. I was just glad we were able to get the hell out of there before the hurricane hit.

Re: Unis for ECU game
Greenville was insanely hot...had 1 dizzy spell lol...but after that didn't have much of a problem...guess my younger self could take it. UNC was prob the hottest I've been to...we were in the uppers on the App side at approx 30 yd line near their club endzones and that sun just beat on me all day. I prob drank 3-4 L of water during that game
Seems they've been using the white helmets in a lot of the promos. They were talking about this on BG podcast too. I wouldn't mind us going white jerseys (either black/white/black, black/white/gold, or even gold/white/gold)...just hope we don't wear the white helmets, really don't care for those

Re: Unis for ECU game
Would surprise me to see all gold or all white (thought I'd seen where they were in mostly purple).
ECU for noon was insane. Wished the LSU game had been played at night since the hurricane didn't end up doing much.

Re: Unis for ECU game
Its never been hotter in my opinion that ECU. Went down to go under the stands because we just could take it anymore..as I walked through the causeway it was like a scene of a refugee camp. I’ve never felt heat like that day.
