I think Lamb will absolutely participate in pro day...he may even get into an nfl camp. I think he has a shot on some pro level...maybe cfl....probably not though.....whatever he does, he's a winner.

He’d be crazy not to at least experience pro day. As others have said, he doesn’t have the measurable’s of a pro quarterback. But then again neither does Russell Wilson… Not trying to say is Russell Wilson but I think he would be crazy not to at least go through the process. What’s the worst that could happen? Wouldn’t you hate to live your whole life and wonder what would’ve happened if you just tried a little harder?
Oh I know he isn't a Russell Wilson...but then again guys like Tony Romo, Joe Flacco and Carson Wentz went on to prove that you didn't have to be a Heisman candidate to turn heads and be successful in the pros...I thought maybe since he was fairly solid, consistent, and not afraid to run might translate into maybe a similar opportunity.

I forgot about him saying he wanted to coach...I guess I always thought that would be into his late 30's early 40's to start doing that, maybe he'll go down to Mercer with dad for a bit? Either way I wish him the best in his post-App life.

Maybe a GA at App to help develop Brown??
I think you meant to develop Heusman and Thomas. Both of those guys are in the 6'2" 210 lb range (ie, yes Stephon Brown is a big kid, but the two leading QBs we already have on the roster are not little) and have been in the system. They each have a chance to do big things at Appalachian.

Lambs cousin just left Mercer as a QB Coach to become a OC. Can you be a position coach without being a GA?

I'm surprised he's not already an assistant coach at Mercer.

He said this season he'd go through the Pro Day process just to know what it's like.

He could also go to Arkansas. He is very close to Justin Stepp who was at App and is now there.
We talked to Taylor, after the game, and he mentioned that as a possibility. He wants to coach.

It would make sense. Gives him experience to pass on to the kids he coaches.

Taylor has some great intangibles, but the tangibles you need to make an NFL roster just are not there. Brees has a small frame, but an absolute cannon and pocket presence rarely seen....same with Russ Wilson. Wilson has an unreal arm to match superb athleticism. Lamb's strengths are not the kind that translate to the pro game. I can definitely see him in Arkansas next year on staff with his ties there.

Good luck to an App legend.

I wish there was some way to retain Taylor on our staff......I think he could become one helluva offensive coordinator and eventually a HC.
KICK ASS!!!

He will be a GA somewhere. Doubt he would even participate in a pro day

I would be disappointed if he didn't participate. Just another experience he can share with his players as a coach.

TL will participate in Pro Day if only for the reason to give his teammates someone to throw to them. Remember last year Bentlee Critcher had to do the throws because TL was still a student -- he couldn't do it.

Has anyone asked him his plans? If I were Steve Behr I would have done a column already

Family members have mentioned that he more interested in coaching. I also read somewhere that he is with Satt. at the coach's convention.

The question is, when will he be our coach?

2032. Mark it down.

So you’re saying Scott is going to retire at 58?

That is when Satt moves to another school opening up head coach position for our OC that had been here then left around 2028 and returned in 2030.
