I hope so, but I worry about his one.

Re: NMSU
Complaining about driving an hour up the mountain to play us is silly. When we play Stink we have been staying in Augusta 1.5 hrs away. When we play Troy we usually stay in Montgomery 1 hr away.

Funny how he says "It's a hard place to get to... and "large crowd" in the same breath?
Must not be too hard to get to.
Not an easy out by any means, but if we don't beat ourselves, we'll be ok. Hoping they help us out down the road.

I think we can all agree, it's much adieu about nothing. It's a stereotype that suits coach talk well. Just imagine what Dabo Swinney could make of it if he ever had to bring his Tigers up the mountain? We would be hearing a tale of the most epic journey ever.

I stood on the hill watching the team walk back to the tunnel after the Wake game. I'm not concerned with any chip that NMSU might have because I am 100% that we will see a Mountaineer team with a freakin' LOG on their shoulders. I can't wait to see the game on Saturday!

Virginia Tech stays in Roanoke, which is 45 minutes from Blacksburg, for their own HOME games. Teams complaining about App being too far is crazy.

He's also complaining that they don't get an off week early in the season and we get extra time before we play them.
I'm sure he'll remember that and complain that his team has an unfair advantage when they get a week off before they play stAte and ULL later in the year.

I wish NMSU the best of luck with their schedule going forward. It that doesn't include App I'm ok with that.

All this complaining leaves me to think they might leave the conference, or something.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 3:05 pmHe's also complaining that they don't get an off week early in the season and we get extra time before we play them.

Re: NMSU
Did anyone see the press conference with NMSU Head Coach? He made all sorts of excuses about the difficult trip to Boone....like App doesn't have a tough time traveling to certain conference schools. He also mentioned they were having to drive an hour from hotel to football stadium. I guess his staff member in charge of team travel wasn't very knowledgeable and decided to stay somewhere other than the Best Western Banner Elk. Regardless, it sounded like he was provided a handful of excuses before the game even started.

Going to be an even longer trip back down the mountain. Maybe the scenery will help cheer them up.

Re: NMSU
Sounds a lot like Hudspeth before ULL came to town 2 years ago. I hope the game plays out in a similar manner.
I do wonder if any of these coaches have ever consider that we have to make that trip down the mountain 6 times a year for road games?

Re: NMSU
I didn't listen to his remarks, but judging from the summary I read I inferred that there was some "the Sun Belt is screwing us with a bad schedule because we're leaving" vibe there.
