We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

The private sector is more efficient. Never.DaphneUrquhart wrote:All of this matches what I've heard as well ... millennial campus, public-private partnership (P3). If you sit high enough on the West Side I'm sure you'll be able to see it. Plus the tallest part of the building looks to be offset. Besides we can look at Howards Knob during tailgating!Boone Goon wrote:This looks awesome! The only reservation I have is wanting to make sure the view of Howard's Knob isn't affected. Does anyone have an idea on when they plan to expand Club Seating?

I think Wake did as well when they built the new field house at Groves Stadium.wdhsbcsasu wrote:Big outdoor tents will work for locker rooms. Duke used these for years.

They can jump in the Duck Pond, no need for a shower, except Ga. Southern can"t use the pond. Don't need the stink in there.

We have a pool and a pond. Pond would be better for them. Natural springs.wdhsbcsasu wrote:They can jump in the Duck Pond, no need for a shower, except Ga. Southern can"t use the pond. Don't need the stink in there.

Re: North End Zone Project
Since this is a private/public funded project, would the private side (assuming Yosef Club room/level) be allowed to sell alcohol?

Hell, we don't even let Woodlands sell iced tea in KBS. Supposedly it is because of the contract with Pepsi.AppinVA wrote:I'd love to enjoy a beer with my Woodlands sammich.Yosef10 wrote:I wish we could just sell alcohol throughout KBS. We are leaving a lot of money on the table in that regard.

Re: North End Zone Project
Dawg, I realize it is sold at the club level. Guess I should have worded my question better. Would Yosef contributors, who don't give at levels that get them in the club/suites, be able to purchase alcohol in the Yosef Club Room if it's in essence a "private" building/room? Just wondering if the private investment would be a loophole to the NC law of not allowing sells of alcohol on state supported campuses and possibly open up an additional revenue stream that is not exclusive to club/suite giving levels.AppDawg wrote:Alcohol is already sold in the club level and suites at KBS.
I posted an article in "other schools" about the Texas Longhorns selling alcohol this season (and last) and generating over $3m in revenue which was $1.8m than in 2015. The article also stated, " On top of the increase in alcohol, Haden said the Longhorns also saw a decrease in alcohol-related incidents."

While I do like Pepsi, given the choice, I'd go beer > tea (sweet) > Pepsi.NewApp wrote:Hell, we don't even let Woodlands sell iced tea in KBS. Re: North End Zone Project
I would think that's a very good possibility. I recall going to a men's basketball game at the HCC several years ago and going to the Yosef Club function.... I don't recall if it was halftime or in between men's and women's game.... regardless, beer and wine were available for purchase during that. Though it was not available during the game itself.moonshine wrote:Dawg, I realize it is sold at the club level. Guess I should have worded my question better. It also is a good idea, as you suggest, for Yosef members above a certain giving level to have access throughout the game. Give those individuals a small taste of the "suite / club life"... size potential increase sales it may result in more suite/club level donations in the future.
