Two Headed Beast
What do you think about seeing both Cox and Moore lined up in the backfield? I think it presents a difficult matchup for opposing defenses and gives Lamb lots of options. The pair gained nearly 300 yards today. Two Headed Beast

Loved loved loved the two back sets with the Lamb option. Been saying for a few weeks we aren't utilizing Lamb's running ability.

It might have been nice to have pulled this out last week.Appstate88 wrote:What do think about seeing both Cox and Moore lined up in the backfield? Re: Two Headed Beast
Even better, we were running our take of Georgia Southern's lost offense to perfection.

Yes it was great to see. Wonder why we didn't see it last week. It is very difficult to defend. Great to see Marcus and Jalin and Taylor get off. Offensive line played well.

+1 - I hope we see more of this for the rest of this season and beyond. We have studs at the RB position so let's get as many as we can on the field!mtnjax wrote:the two back set brought back fond memories of 2007

It's about time we went to this! Been hoping to see it for several years. Reminds me of Armanti and Kevin in the backfield ripping defenses apart.

It reminded me of Armanti Richardson and Moore. That was a great combination. I have asked several times why we got away from two back sets. It keeps the defenses guessing.

Re: Two Headed Beast
After 2007, I don't think we had 2 RB's that would make it work. Defenses have to respect both Cox and Moore with what they can do.ASUchipman wrote:It reminded me of Armanti Richardson and Moore. Re: Two Headed Beast
I do not recall the 2nd back when we ran a double back set with Armanti and K Rich. I think whoever it was, was just a blocking back.
This year, with Lamb, Cox, & Moore, it is actually much more high powered than back in 2007.
