Tip of the Hat App St Fans

Unread post by TXSTBOBCATATX » Mon Nov 07, 2016 10:17 am

Hello all!

First of all I want to thank everyone on here for the recommendations of things to do around Boone.

Places we went too:
Louisiana Purchase in Banner Elk, food was amazing!
Peddling Pig BBQ, It was good (not Texas BBQ,) but good!
AMB had great beer and a good atmosphere!
Grandfather Mountain had the best views that I have ever seen!

We broke away from our group and made our way to the stadium to get some tailgating in. We followed y'all recommendations, to ware our school colors and with in 2 minuets of getting out of our car we had people greeting us with food and beer. We couldn't have felt more welcomed by App St fans!

Thank you all so much for your hospitality!

Thanks for coming to Boone & KBS.

Yes, Louisiana Purchase is a special place for me. I proposed in that fine restaurant to my wife of 30 years, back in August of 1985. We celebrated our 30th anniversary there this past May. Different owners, but same excellent dining experience. Glad you enjoyed it too.
