Wilmington, NC area alumni

I was looking forward to the Special Reception and University Update with Dr. Everts in Wilmington February 9th.

As several of my alumni friends did not receive the email invite, I called to see if I could get them added.

To my dismay, the reception was cancelled due to a poor response. The Alumni office said they only got 4-6 replies. Something seems wrong to me.

I know I registered yet they did not have me signed up. Per above, 3 of my friends never received an invite. I asked if there was any special qualifier for the invite and they said no. They used their list of alumni in the area.

I now wonder how good their list is and how good their reservation system worked. I contacted both alumni affairs and Dr. Everts office and they are looking into this.

My question is if you're a Wilmington alumni did you get the invite and did you register?

Also, does any one know who runs our Wilmington alumni club?

My goal is to get the event rescheduled and have a good crowd show up. I would love to meet Dr. Everts and hear here remarks.

A name is listed but there appears to be nothing else. The email address provided appears to be that of the chapter president beside her.

Could be worse...the Greensboro area chapter supposedly meets at 7:00am at a Starbucks.

I don't attend the meetings but Greensboro meets at 8 am at the Green Bean. I just got an email earlier this week for the meeting.

A few weeks ago I got an email from the Raleigh/Triangle chapter about a Hurricanes game. I am not sure if that already occurred. I think it was for a bit later in February.
