Why did we not let the band travel to the Clemson game? I missed them, and they deserved to travel to the game.

It's believed they are saving the money to travel to a potential bowl game.

Oh, I think we should set up a travel fund for games like this. It would have added value to the team and the University to have them there.

Not being negative as I would love to have NC's Band of Distinction at every game BUT, it is super expensive to do.

We want the band at every away game. We want to remove the track. We want to expand Kidd Brewer NOW. Where is all this money coming from. Has Gillin inked a multi-million dollar sponsorship we don't know about?

"We" do? I've yet to see anyone say the band should be at every game, or that we need to expand KBS immediately (except maybe Gonzo). You jumped the generalization gun a bit.

Given the short distance and the high profile of the game this is a game that the band should be at. We could look at setting up a travel fund for the band and provide donations to the band to assist in defraying expenses. I know that is it hard and expensive for a band to travel even to Clemson, it would probably be in the ballpark of $50-$75k

This has nothing to do with the other items bought up.

I do. I realize that money does not just fall from the sky. I also realize that folks get excited and make their wish list sound like demands. I hope that is the case here, and if not I am greatly disappointed. I am also very thankful for what we have. We have a very nice stadium. We have class A locker room, weight room, and training room. We have a very nice indoor facility. We have a great coaching staff and broadcast crew. We also have a fantastic fan base who really cares about the program and just needs a little bit of patience because we are deficient in one area and that is money. I truly think that we have over achieved in what we have accomplished with the recourses that have been available to us. I for one am damn thankful for what we have.

In all likelihood we would have had to help pay for the band's seats in the stadium. I know that has happened before.

I see and agree with your point but also agree with WV's wishes. I like nothing better than to show other fan bases how good of a band entourage we have.

That would be great if the money could be raised practically. The band performing at football games is as American as apple pie.

I am by no means including everyone, but you knew this already. I guess you just had to get your post count up.

If we even did have the money I would really hope we wouldn't spend it just to get the band to an away game. Money could be spent better on many more pressing and frankly more important needs.

Bingo....having the band at an away game is a luxury...not a necessity we can afford.

They should tape $100 bills to the seats before home games.
