Damn. I won't be in Durham those days.

If this is really an ESPN commercial the school needs to bus students down there by the hundreds and pick up the tab. Huge marketing opportunity.

The Triangle isn't exactly the nucleus of young alums and students -- ie those who make noise at games and who would be ideal for something like this.

I also had this email forwarded to me during the day. We really need to get some people to show up and represent AppNation like we know how. I mean the $150 payday can cover season tickets or one good solid tailgate!! Come on Triangle Apps!

I never got a flier but I received the email from AppStateSports. I emailed the group shooting the commercial and they asked me to gather a few Mountaineer fans for a Skype interview and to submit photographs of myself in App Gear/at games. They're filming either the 28th or 29th, but you have to be available both days and it pays $150. I'm guessing it is legit but I'm not too sure. I haven't pursued any further than the initial email.

I saw a tweet yesterday from the "App Striped Squad" saying they were going to be apart of an ESPN commercial. The @AppStateFBVideo account retweeted it.

I'm skeptical of the World Wide Leader in Sports would use a @gmail account and the GoAppState mother-ship wouldn't publicize this opportunity...With all that said, if someone gets confirmation, let us all know. We may be able to get the BadAppalCart to the Triangle for the shoot!
