At his retirement party I was asking him about his plans and he mentioned his connections around the world and we wanted to do research. And he was all very modest about it, like he might get a bit of time here and there by asking favors. He was my favorite professor but it helped I had him in a lower level physics course that was not hard for me compared to what was to come.

I just sent Dr. Gray an email asking him to be a guest speaker to an upcoming Greensboro Astronomy Club. It may be over Zoom or in-person if we can work the details. I'll try and post the information when the scheduling is done. He gave me positive feedback when I broached the subject at his retirement reception.
