Agree to disagree. An additional $710,000 a year is going to retain coaching staff longer. It's going to grow the fan base. Say a quarter of those increase their donation by 5% every year...

Growing the fan base and support is and should be #1 priority. Those 1-3 million donors, while nice, is typically a one time donation. We need the continuous.

Not to mention the leverage we would hold if we said we have 10,000 booster club members.

I'd love to have them as well. And, I am one who strongly supports for Young Alumni/Family promotions for long term growth at the expense of some short term profit.

But, as far as the budget goes, I really think our best bang for the buck for 5-10 years is to find someone to market to NC and Regional corporations that their sponsorship dollar would be best spent on the mountain in front of sold out crowds of loyal App State fans (bring in a NASCAR sports marketing specialist). We have a great brand and a great program to be associated with. Those $1-3M are renewable. Take advantage that we have an established brand that doesn't have to compete with the Charlotte or Triad Pro and P5 teams.

And this doesn't have to be an either/or.......use those brands to create fan experiences that set up apart. Still have a goal of doubling the Yosef Club alumni members.

Thinking outside the box here...would it make sense to hire an external fundraising/promotional firm to explore corporate deals? Even if they get a cut of the sponsorship money they land, you have professionals prospecting and developing larger fundraising opportunities. Could be a force multiplier worth considering.

My $100 a pop was just thrown out for example purposes..I agree that hopefully many would do more.

What if we really think outside the box and we build cabins on the hill behind the stadium, they enter an agreement, that is basically a large one time donation, a yearly maintenance fee, and a yearly donation that secures your cabin, like a PSL.

The thing with more donors helps us with more than just funds in the bank. Helps us (well the Sun Belt) with TV contracts, helps us with NIL deals, helps us with bowl game tie ins, helps us with financing in future projects, etc...

Sure getting a couple more big donors might provide the same monetary value, but it doesn't come close to the intangibles growing numbers provides.

It's been proposed. Issue is permitting.

Although, the proposal was having 5-6 cabins on the hill that people can stay in starting Friday night, tailgate in, watch the game, etc.

So, just using as "seats" could work.
