Good grief, I don't have any idea what some of these maladies are. Whatever they are, I'm just glad I don't have them.

If App State comes up with a Hall of Infamy the Wheel of Death should be the first nominee.

Turned 50 and blew out my right shoulder - rotator cuff, 3 years later tore the pectoral tendon away from my left shoulder. 3 months later sold the ski boat.

Ok, I’ll weigh in. Detached retina, rotator cuff, right knee surgery, right knee surgery again, eye surgery, pulmonary embolism, and if you want to start a stitch count, I’ll start adding up tonight. Will take a while.

Re: Health Complaints Thread
I feel you, I worked my ass off in 2020, lost 50lbs was running 8.5 minute miles for 10 mile stretches, ran my first half marathon at 52, was kicking around a full, over did it and got a stress fracture and had to slow down. 25 pounds jumped on my ass in like 3 months. I had gotten used to burning a shit ton of calories so I didn’t have to worry about eating and drinking. I just got back healthy before the holidays and knocked 10 pounds back off, and damned if they didn’t find me again between Dec 18 and now (I had fun 🤩). I’ll start over in 2022.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 10:49 pmCruised last week. Gained 5 pounds in 6 days...I kid you not. If I don't eat the right way pounds just jump on me. USED to eat anything and everything all day(and Drink 12 beers) and not gain a pound.
As far as health issues at 53, sore knees, ankles and hips. Getting out of bed and taking those first few steps is always interesting but after the first cup of coffee I’m good to go.

Stopped stitch count around 240. Didn’t get past age 40 and got tired of thinking about it. I’ve always had a bad habit of running into and doing stupid sh!+.

Re: Health Complaints Thread
Much of that comes from the diabetes, don't you think?. I have type 2 as well. We can be thankful it isn't Type I. The diabetic foot hasn't hit me yet. Walking 2 miles most days may be helping that.asu1978 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 5:42 amNow 67,severe type 2 diabetic, right kidney quit, left feeling the strain.Glaucoma in both eyes.Rhem.& Aust. arthritis, fatty liver.I weigh twice as much as I did in '78.Concerning the wheel of death, back in 77 I put a small note under a fish sandwich at lunch with the time. That evening that same fish sandwich was there with the note.AARRRGGG!Also taking blood pressure med.Nerves in my feet are messed up.Still walking upright for now.Hollies & the 7 mile trip for beer and ABC in my 70 Torino GT I still very much remember.
