Well if you define greatest purely subjectively then yeah it’s just my opinion. But if you define greatest objectively by looking at accomplishments no other solo artist comes close and that includes Michael Jackson who is the only other solo artist usually mentioned by people. Elvis has more gold and platinum records than any solo artist, has sold more records worldwide than anyone, made over 30 films all of which made money, had hits in not just one genre of music but in rock, country, blues, easy listening and gospel, sold out every concert he played from 1969 until his death. He has been dead longer than he was alive but he is still the most impersonated celebrity in the world and his house is the second most Tourist visited home in America behind only the White House. If that ain’t greatest I don’t know what is I guess.NoLongerLurking wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:06 pmThe greatest entertainer to ever live, in your opinion.

He was also a trailblazer who did things on stage that were shocking at the time and helped create an entirely new category of music that was in its infancy. His charisma on stage was and probably still is unmatched. My older sister who was a teenager in the 1950s was and still is a huge fan...mgsouth wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:29 pmWell if you define greatest purely subjectively then yeah it’s just my opinion. I'm not a huge Elvis fan. I have nothing against him and have a very healthy respect for his talent and accomplishments but just never have been a huge fan. You do state a good argument though!mgsouth wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:29 pmWell if you define greatest purely subjectively then yeah it’s just my opinion.
