Appalachian State : SI Story

Unread post by /\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 » Fri Nov 23, 2018 2:23 pm

Circa 1980

Likely a click bait subject line, but wanted to share a jewel that my mom showed me while visiting her today. Back story, she ran track at App and was in the hospital having knee surgery when Thompson (Tommy) Usiyan brought her a team signed copy of the article.

Sorry the picture quality sucks. Had to compress in order to attach.

That’s a valuable piece right there. Team had a heck of a keeper. RIP Ted.

I was at every home game and went to Clemson to see App beat who I believe was #2 at the time! Good times!

Thanks for posting that. I work with Mark Schwartz (79-82) and he we definitely get a kick out of it.
