But if you don't believe burning fossil fuels is bad, take a few huffs from a diesel exhaust. It can't be good.

We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I have some experience dealing with research and funding. The "science" will be whatever is necessary to keep the grant money flowing. That is true 100% of the time. After my experience in dealing with it, I will never trust any type of research again. Just look for where the money is coming from, or who is going to benefit, and you will be able to tell what the "research" indicates well before anything is ever published.

Are you at liberty to give specifics? I find this an interesting point.appst89 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 9:14 amI have some experience dealing with research and funding. Data can certainly be manipulated and tobacco companies and fossil fuel companies certainly have a track record of doing what they have done.
I would like to her more about your experiences.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Not a lot in the way of specifics that I can share.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 11:49 amAre you at liberty to give specifics? I saw "research" that aimed toward things that aligned with my views, and an equal amount aimed in the other direction. 100% of the outcomes were predetermined. It may have started as legitimate research, but by the time it got to the point that money was available to fund it, I could tell you what the end result was going to be.
My experiences have led me to the point that I no longer believe there is any legitimate research being conducted, where those involved are willing to go where the data takes them and report it honestly.

Look at Pharma industry. Nuff said
When a lot of money is at stake the “research and science” will be found/created to support the machine. People will be bought.
I have learned this in my old age

I took a class at App that discussed this very same thing. Question both the research and the source of the research.
