Worst part about Boone is the off campus housing monopoly that takes place. Apartments are twice as expensive as Comparable units at other colleges. That's frustrating as a student
According to the study commisioned by the Town of Boone there's an off campus student housing surplus. Hence the descriminatory housing ordinance that's basically a moratorium on student aimed apartments and the multi million dollar Watagua High School property deal going south. I have my doubts. Certain complexes that are utter shit holes are full for the fall by late February. It just doesn't add up.
