We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

In that case our record against MAC teams will be more than 4-0 once we meet again.

Re: Ask the AD 1/3 Edition
According to a person I talked to, who is pretty high up in the athletic department, Akron didn't request the change, we did. Our football scheduling model is 1 FCS, 1 P5 money game, and 2 with G5. So we moved Akron, and added Savannah St. to keep that model.JTApps1 wrote:Keep in mind this was a late change to the schedule after Akron asked to move their return trip to Boone back.WataugaMan wrote:How much credit do we get for beating Savannah State? Since when is App "afraid" of a tough game? If we are in a situation that we have no other choice but to scheduled an FCS team, it may as well be against a tough team that will draw a better crowd. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one.EastHallApp wrote:Amen. Okay, I'll meet you half way - let's exchange Savannah State for Vermin (we owe them anyway).

Re: Ask the AD 1/3 Edition
Everything I've read on this is Akron wanted to move the game because they were only going to have 5 home games. Considering our league schedule this year it doesn't include Troy or Ark. State I don't see why we would need it to get easier.

Think you're taking a catch phrase a little too literally. Anyone, anywhere means you want to play the best, and you don't mind traveling to do it. Otherwise, why stop at playing JMU in Boone? Let's just give them a home and home! Or better yet, let's play home and home with Furman or WCU!bcoach wrote:What happened to anyone anywhere?EastHallApp wrote:Amen. Anyway, it doesn't matter, as others have explained well how it financially wouldn't make sense for either side.

I understand but you have to admit they are better than any of the conference games we are going to play. I would just love to see it. I understand the money factor as sad as it is.EastHallApp wrote:Think you're taking a catch phrase a little too literally. Re: Ask the AD 1/3 Edition
JMU this year would absolutely drag several Sun Belt teams, I agree. I just don't think there's any positive in a scenario where we play a competitive game against an FCS team, even if we win. The perception among our skeptics would be "See, App's still basically an FCS team, they barely beat JMU."bcoach wrote:I understand but you have to admit they are better than any of the conference games we are going to play. I had forgotten about that, and I very much prefer that matchup over fElon.BUTCH1991 wrote: Don't forget ETSU is coming.
