Pretty nervous. Pitchers will need to keep the ball down, Steensma and Chirico do this pretty well, but not Wilson. Bats have to be timely. If JMU sweep and UNCA scare didn’t motivate and light a fire under us, not sure what will.
Who knows, maybe the weather and winds work in our favor, no chance Troy is used to the colder, windy climate.
Gut says 1-2, heart says 3-0!!!

Home teams are 10-4 so far this weekend. Road wins are extremely hard to come by in this league.

Cajuns are on a different planet right now! Shocked with the Ga State vs USM series (although they did salvage a win today). App's performance was about what I expected BUT was certainly hoping to steal this last one at home after being up early.

Think how differently we'd all feel if the below happened instead:

Won the two 1 run games with Texas State & Marshall (Tx State W 3-2 & Marshall W 9-8)
Hold on to beat Coastal (complete sweep as well!) instead of dropping game in 12th (Lost 17-11)
Took just ONE game at JMU...

App would be 10-5 in conference and 24-9 overall good enough for 2nd place.

And yes, I know all teams could do this exercise but just to show how, less than a handful of games, could make a massive swing in the Sun Belt right now.

Well last night didn't go well for us at all. Here's a look at the whole conference though. Very good night overall.

Other teams struggled like App did Tuesday. Not a great way to follow up yesterday overall either (RPI). Still two solid performances to end the night though.

UL started 9-8.

They are now 30-9. WOW. 21-1 is a wild streak. Props to them. Wish we got to play them.

Yes, they've been on quite the ride BUT(!) their schedule is backloaded and they have yet to get to the meat of it. Let's see where they end up after weekend sets @ Coastal, vs USM, @ Troy, & @ Ga Southern. They end with South Al but even that isn't a gimme as they've taken a series vs UNCW & Troy with wins over Nebraska, Mississippi State, Alabama, & last night's 7 run victory over Tulane in New Orleans.

App can gain a little ground with a sweep and 2 Ga State wins (unlikely with where the 2nd game stopped) & the other that's bound to happen in either a JMU or Ga Southern loss.
