Him staying at JMU speaks volumes about JMU, The Sun Belt, Boston College and the ACC.

Yeah, wondering if it's more about the dumpster fire that will soon be the ACC and not wanting to be at one of the lowest tier schools in the dumpster.

I was thinking that jumping again to a terrible team just wasn't smart.... bigger opportunity coming if he does well

IMO, feel it is more thinking long-term than short term money grab. BC has not been good for many years. If he does well at JMU, he may get an opportunity at a better school that has just had a few down years, etc.
Other than maybe money, BC would not be appealing to me, it is a pro sports town

Hard to turn down 4x salary for the next four years, but betting on yourself is always a good move as well.

Except that Chesney is a Mass guy and has said that BC would be a dream job. The buy-out wasn’t too bad so either BC didn’t want to pay it or Chesney felt that it wasn’t the right move given that he just took the job at Jimmy Mads.

I could elaborate on all the reasons BC isn't a good destination for him. But I'm exhausted from (a) doing stuff around the house and (b) App's heart attack inducing win today over the Stink.

To 94's point...if you have a beef with other YC posters, settle it like real men do: by throwing hands.
BOLO for the octagon set up near the SW entrance of Holmes before/during/after the App/Toledo MBB game.

There's a lot of people here who don't like each other...so we're expecting a full fight card.
So reserve your fight slot NOW.

I got my tickets for Toledo. Do they cover this event as well or is that a separate charge?

Still waiting to hear from the Alumni Center folks re: whether they’re willing to sanction it and make book for everyone.

If they do: free of charge. If not, $6 a head + a two drink minimum.

Basketball. Mike Jones at ODU is impressive. They have a high ceiling. Look out for them.
