You mean there are other sports? (sarcasm) ;)

But yes, I meant for football only. So 11 teams. 1 division -5, the other -6. Like the rest of us, I hope the SBC will show patience in selecting a 12th football school.

I am ready to get on the "Together we rise" bandwagon. Can we get a break down of each football school in the new Belt, posted one by one? I like a "know your opponent" segment for these schools.

This is a little OT, but I liked the way the Realignment page was honest about WKU leaving. And also the compliment to AppState and GSU.

http://www.sunsegment.com/realignment.html

Western Kentucky- the Hilltoppers suffered through a horrendous couple of seasons after joining the FBS before having a potential breakthrough. Unfortunately for the Sun Belt, WKU will be departing the Sun Belt just when they appeared to turn the corner. 2013 will be the final Sun Belt season for WKU before they join C-USA. This is the defection that hurts the Sun Belt the most, but it is not a game changer. The loss of the Hilltoppers will complicate the conference’s march to a higher level of respect, but the new members in the east should be able to win respect and restore what is lost with WKU leaving.

Sunbelt 2014 conference schedules, I've read, are supposed to be released towards the end of June. Anxious to see what App's slate will look like.

I wish we would play all 10 of the other Belt football members if we can't get Marshall or ECU on the schedule. Of course, a game against one of the Florida FBS teams would be good for recruiting. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
