Kind of depressing that ECU will probably make a bowl game and App probably won't, simply because ECU has a tissue paper soft schedule.

Very sad not to see App in the mix.

All we had to do was go 4-4 in conference (aka a group of our peers, most of which we outspend). That is the unfortunate part.

Too many of your writing us off too soon. The season is far from over, we are playing our best ball of the year and we are improving every week. The OL is coming together and the D line is getting some pressure now. We still have issues, but none of the remaining teams are so dominant that we can't win. I fully expect to make a bowl this year. Hell, I am still holding out on an East title. Just need Marshall to lose 3 conference games (4 remaining), ODU to lose 1 more and Southern to lose 1 more and we need to win out, that's all it will take. Long odds sure, but until the odds are 0, I won't be counting us out.

Indeed. I would put us at 50/50 to make a bowl game though. We are playing better but we do have 3 tough games coming up. This is a big game this week.

If we can beat Coastal we will be in decent shape and have a chance to get some guys healthy in the next two weeks . Lose to them for the third time in a row and that time off could work as much against us as for us. I want the sweep but heck two out of three won’t be easy.

There is a scenario in which Marshall only needs to lose two more games for us to win the tiebreaker for the division title.

Marshall has So. Miss, Coastal, JMU, and ODU. They could lose two of these

Yes, the more I look at it I agree. I actually think we are better off in that scenario. We just need multiple teams to have a 5-3 record in the East and we win the tiebreaker. So really , we just need Marshall to lose 2 more conference games, ODU to lose 1 more , Southern to lose 1 more before our game and for us to win out. I think it is possible for 3-5 teams to be 5-3 in the East to end the year which would be crazy.

I recall a few years ago winning the east looked lost then some chaos happened and the title fell in our laps. Until we are mathematically eliminated from both the east and a bowl I’ll personally dispense from more doom and gloom.

Marshall has a recent history of starting strong and sucking donkey balls at the end of the season. They could lose all 4.

I'm really tired of y'all being so negative about the thing we LOVE so damn much.

This site is the one place I get to escape to talk about the App sports and I have had about enough of the doom and gloom.

Unless you're gonna donate money and share the receipts then how about you keep your fingers off the keyboard and let us enjoy these last few weeks.

I'm going to continue to donate money, buy season tickets, travel to cheer for App State, and on Monday post my thoughts on the game, the state of the program all in an objective manner.

If anyone would like a receipt I'll be sitting in section 306 on Thursday looking forward to losing our voices together.
