We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Richt to Miami

Unread post by T-Dog » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:31 pm

There's a good bit of noise right now that Mark Richt will be the next Miami coach. Nothing official, like App playing in any specific bowl game, but Brent McMurphy is reporting it and he's solid.

Mark Richt is going to be on the KBS sidelines next season. Let that sink in for a moment.

A lot of people are now saying it's a done deal and will be announced tomorrow.

We could see the Third Empire of South Beach.

Glad we're getting them early in his tenure. Don't think he'll make them the U of old overnight, but they're gonna be a problem by the time we head down there.

Here's to hoping Richt has a long-term overhaul in mind for that program and doesn't make moves that immediately make them a lot better.

My goodness guys, we'll be at least a 15-20 pt. dog at home to Miami. Possibly 25+. I'm as jacked as anybody to see them come and play, but one should expect a Florida type turn around from last year to this with Richt coming in. Anything less is just being naive. They have a stable of athletes and big-uns in the trenches. Notice he didn't waste any time taking the job. Regardless of alumnus status, what's in the cupboard and the fact that it is the ACC and not the SEC speaks volumes. I just hope we cover and have a chance at the end. Hopefully, we will be healthy after UT. They will be loaded and large also.
Gillin tried to warn people of unrealistic expectations for these two games. The biggest thing this does is open the door for P5's to do the Price Is Right and come on down. It's Huge from that aspect. But a win would be a MAJOR upset.
It is Christmas time so I would take a win over Miami for Christmas and let everything else go. But, I'm afraid, only Santa could deliver that.

On paper, we won't be as talented next year as we are this year. While we will have a significant number of playmakers back, we will have a very inexperienced WR corps. We will have some holes to fill and will face the two P5s in early season. I'm excited about both games but realistically we will likely be decided underdogs in both.

I don't think we'll have any trouble finding guys to make plays at WR next year considering all the RsFr and Fr we have waiting in the wings. I'm more concerned about the two guys we lose on OL and that guy named Blair on DL.

They indeed will be big losses. I probably shouldn't have used the word talented. We will be pretty inexperienced at WR.
