If Elliott had any chance before today, that's done.

The Citadel is a great team this year. I'm one of the few that, at least, checks SoCon scores each week

The funniest part is that the gamecocks got screwed by the refs on the TD that would have won the game.I guess the refs didn't get the memo.

Citadel, geat team? They got hammered by the stink.

Maybe "great" is generous, but they're a very 'solid' fcs team.

El Cid hired the former Lenoir-Rhyne coach. He knows what he's doing; and he won't be in Charleston long. He'll move on and up on the express elevator.

I agree.
He'll go to Gnatsboro once Fritz is hired away.

The Citadel is good this year. We got hammered by Clemson and we are a good team....

Which is what people said about us a mere three years ago.

We did, and we are. But getting hammered by Clemson, and getting hammered by GS are very, very different things.
That's not to say Citadel isn't a really good FCS team (and I'm really enjoying seeing them do well) but the comparison is just a bit of a stretch.

Prior to this game they were on the outside looking in for the playoffs. I don't consider anybody not getting in the playoffs a good team in FCS. After yesterday though they made the statement needed to be called a good team.

I root for the So Con teams still. And i give credit where it's due. We beat Michigan in 07 and have essentially gotten hammered in every other P5 game since then, so i don't have quite the arrogance toward FCS teams maybe others have on this board.

We have one of the highest D1 winning percentages in the nation. Any fan base would be "arrogant" with the success we've experienced in the past ten years.

If you don't think SC was looking past them to the rivalry game next weekend you're delusional. We don't get that luxury because every P5 team we play watches our Michigan highlights before the game.

Well I have to say that if you look at some of our losses there is no reason for us to be arrogant. We should be confident and very happy with our record but we are not where we should be arrogant. Of course arrogant is not a quality we should aspire to anyway. That is kind of how you get beat by an NC A&T.

I was in Columbia yesterday, I go to one game with the inlaws a year. It was like a funeral at the game and after. That is a bad SC team and yes they got robbed by that call. Never seen a P5 get screwed like that, usually it's the little guy.
