It's was only 10-3 at half, shockingly. Charlotte got dominated in the second, losing 37-3, but they looked well coached. They're just plying against good FBS talent with FCS talent.

No reason we need to really care to much about them, they lost to FAU last week. That was one one of the worst attempts at playing football for both sides I have ever seen. UNCC won't field a respectable team for at least the next 3-6 years, regardless of what their "fan base" says. UNCC is a football after thought, sure their fans are entertaining due to their proximity in location and mental insanity. They won't win another game this season. They should be excited that Ga State gift wrapped them a win to start the year. They are slowly learning their place in the world that all the new hype and new car smell can't cover up.

Just don't care and would love to keep our folder "clean". ;) Other Schools Athletics might be a good place for this.

^ I agree, not sure why OP put it here.

Actual quote from UNCC fan: "We are on our way to glory even if we do not get another win."

Just speaks volumes to the mindset.

Official '9er attendance announced at 13,105. That's not believable--at all. I'd buy 1,310.5 The .5 is the guy who came to the game w/o his brain and his rain gear.

Looking at the score we got rolled by Temple, and the scoreboard is what counts. But, looking at the box score is interesting. First, Temple is a top 30 team, and at the half they led 10-3. Considering this was game #26 all time for us, that is respectable.

Passing
Temple - 11/23, 116 yds, 5.0 avg
Charlotte - 13/21, 131, 4.9 avg

Rushing
Temple - 45 carries, 206 yds, 4.6 avg, 20 yds (longest)
Charlotte - 44 carries, 223 yds, 5.1 avg, 39 yds (longest)

Total Yards
Temple - 322
Charlotte - 354

Receiving
Temple - 11 receptions, 116 yds, 10.5 avg, 34 yds (longest)
Charlotte - 13 receptions, 131 yds, 10.1 avg, 35 yds (longest)

Turnovers
Temple - 1 (fumble)
Charlotte - 1 (interception)

Temple sacked Penn St 10 times. They did not sack us.

Clearly Charlotte needs to learn how to score, because if you cannot finish a drive you get beaten 37-3. But, the big stats (other than score) show two teams that played a pretty even game. There is something here to build on.

Last thought: Three home games, two in the rain. Enough!

Just so you know, no one clicked on this thread to read about or discuss UNCC football statistics. They came here to demean you.

Pretty much...although it was respectable at half. The Temple coach was furious with his players. Not enough depth to hang with top team yet. You have to understand the vitriol we have for Judy. She thumbed her nose at us joining CUSA....she wasnt by herself but we have a huge chip on our shoulder seeing a startup get respect just because it's located in the center of a TV market that we are a part of.

Not everyone. Some folks don't carry an unmitigated hatred for anything/everything green.

I reserve that level of hatred for purple.

Uncc has what I used to call the Wofford affect.... That is due to the fact no one's in the stands there is no energy. It's dead no excitement. This results in the visiting team, which is used to playing in front of tens of thousands starting out flat.

Remember, teams are allowed to count paid tickets as official attendance. Doesn't matter that Jerry Richardson buys a block of 5,000 seats per game (I'm being facetious) to pad the numbers.

Also, our announced attendance of 19k and change is comical. There was way too much aluminum for there to be just shy of 20,000 bodies.

Our attendance of 19,345 was a bit puzzling to me... No, there were not that many actually there, HOWEVER, last week all university releases at or near end of week said only 200 (or so) reserved tickets remained. The students were out, though maybe a bit off a good weather day AND NOBODY scanned or tore my ticket at gate... Just a wave through and an "Enjoy the game".
