Lenoir-Rhyne motivational shirt

This is 7 years late, but I still thought this was interesting.

One of my students had on an Lenior-Rhyne shirt the other day. I grew up in the area so I know L-R well enough. The main logo on the front just said "Believe." L-R is a Lutheran affiliated school so I inquired if this was some sort of religious statement of something else. It was something else.

The t-shirt was his older brother's and this was from the 2007 football season. These were printed based on what he knew after the slight upset we handed UM the week before as a way to get the student body behind the team for what was by all accounts going to be a bit one-sided, as it was.

I thought it mildly interesting; both the message on the shirt and the connections 7 years later.
