The world is upside down again. The Cherokee Boys Club leads the 'Dins 14-3 near the half. The Furmies have a game on their hands on their home turf. CCC scores again; 21 - 3.
Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.

Yep. Same here, I wish we could have kept the head of the committee with us because we are essentially doing the same thing again...committee-wise.

Unfortunately neither are we. We'd still beat the Cats, though. We have the talent, we just haven't shown any savvy.BUTCH1991 wrote:Vermin isn't very good this year.

Do you ever post anything positive about anything or anybody? I'm sure you have but it's been years.BeauFoster wrote:I guess it's true - Furman does indeed still suck.

I think Beau is positive that Furman sucks.NewApp wrote:Do you ever post anything positive about anything or anybody? I'm sure you have but it's been years.BeauFoster wrote:I guess it's true - Furman does indeed still suck.
As much as you like WCU (and I tend to like them as well that they are not playing us so not knocking you for that.) you would appreciate the jab at Furman since it is due to WCU winning today.

Re: Western at Furman
I'm not actually a WCU fan but I sympathize and empathize with them and have/had lots of good friends with WCU ties. My best friend and colleague was a WCU Master's grad and player for the Tar Hells. He died in 1991. Too, some of "my" employees when I was in administration were WCU alumni and they all performed well and had great ethics and attitudes. Never had any hatred for the Furmanites but admit I didn't respect Bobby Lamb very much. I just don't hate rivals but always like to whip their fannies, though. Just glad to see Speir and company get a win, though, especially since it doesn't affect us in any way, shape, or form.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I think Beau is positive that Furman sucks.NewApp wrote:Do you ever post anything positive about anything or anybody? Re: Western at Furman
I think there have been more congrats posted by some App fans at CP than their own fans posting about the game. 1. As your said, since it does not affect us we can be a bit nicer as a fan base and 2. WCU fans may have abandoned them and this is going to be a season of too-little too-late at least the fans that at one time visited the CP board. Really surprised how dead the board is over there.NewApp wrote:I'm not actually a WCU fan but I sympathize and empathize with them and have/had lots of good friends with WCU ties. Could be the fact that it was an away game and people are out celebrating...

Re: Western at Furman
I was thinking that, and if I was a Western fan, I am sure it is time to celebrate a SoCon road win. What has it been 5 years or so.
Still their board has had very low activity for a good bit of time now.

Re: Western at Furman
22 in a row road loss streak broke yesterday. I don't care who coaches WC I hate that place. My daughter went and watched them play at home with a friend a couple weeks ago. Her only comment was that place sucks. One of the proudest days of my life, I have trained her well.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I was thinking that, and if I was a Western fan, I am sure it is time to celebrate a SoCon road win. Part of the "deadness" is probably due to them not posting much about us anymore. For years, their App-related threads always got more action than anything about their own team. Sad, but that's Western's fans for ya.
