This was on the Sun Belt board. Interesting.

Blake Anderson Head Coach 700K
Walt Bell Co-OC/QB's 205K
Glenn Elarbee Co-OC/OL 200K
Joe Cauthen DC/LB 145K
Trooper Taylor CB's 105K (Beginning July 1)
Luke Paschall SpTeams/WR 75K
Allen Johnson Safeties 70K
Brian Early DL 70K
Dan Dodd TE/Recruiting 70K
Anthony Tucker RB 70K

Total Assistant Compensation: 1.1 Million
Total Staff Compensation: 1.8 Million

Trooper Taylor is getting 215K per year as part of his buyout at Auburn until June 30th. We are actually not paying him a regular salary until July 1st. He only gets 6K to cover Insurance benefits during that time. Essentially he is working for free for the first 6 months.

Slight Decrease from last season when assistants made 1.3 Million, but Thompson made 300K, and no one is approaching that salary this year here.

Charlie Cobb and our university legal & admin groups are about to tackle the BIG salary monsters of FB and Men's BB. They're got to negotiate contracts for a new MBB head coach & staff (probably effective April 1) and upgrade the FB staff's salaries to FBS responsibility levels effective July 1.

A lot of $,$$$,$$$.00 is about to change hands. Certainly the most in Appalachian history to these line items. The university legal team is going to have to get creative on contract terms for annuities, deferred compensation and perks to pull this off.

I believe most all football salaries will double with the possible exception of Satterfield, who might to go 350K (currently at 225K). Woody will go to north of 200K (currently 110K), Sloan around 180K (currently 90K), etc.

The next basketball coach should be in the 300K range. Capel makes 158K.

Ark St salaries trends toward the highest not just in the Sun Belt, but the entire Group of 5 (SBC, CUSA, MWC, MAC, AAC). ULL is also up there.

It'll have to go a lot higher than that if he has any kind of success. He could make 200K more than that - easy - as a BCS OC.
