I was impressed. Very fast and lots of offense. Those teams should be fun to watch. ( As long as we get our act together)

I think it is on ESPN3 replay for a while if you have that ability.

I thought the same thing. A State offense especially looked pretty explosive and very fast. The other thing that got my attention was size. Both lines were huge on both sides of the ball. Not sure if it will hold but early projections had these teams at 4th and 5th in the conference. They looked pretty good to me.

I do miss watching conference members on TV.
Good game.
Yesterday would have been a nice day for a half day :D

Hey Veg - I noticed your sig says "One game does not a post-season make". Does that mean App hasn't had a post season the past few years?

I looked for that. They looked pretty full to me. The stadium looked to me to hold 20k, but the cameras really did not pan the crowd much.
Plus, this was a THURSDAY night game!!! One might imagine more fans on a Saturday at 3:30 pm.
What stood out to me was the explosive offenses --- they had HUGE linemen on both sides of the ball, and FAST position players. If these two teams are the middle of the Sunbelt, then we will have our hands full next year.

I alays pay attention to that for the mid-week games. Last night wasn't a sellout, but the stands looked to be almost full. It was a good crowd.

FWIW...
JONESBORO, Ark. (9/12/13) – A 13-yard touchdown run by Arkansas State’s Fredi Knighten with just under four minutes remaining coupled with four Troy turnovers led the Red Wolves to a 41-34 Sun Belt Conference (SBC) opening win over Troy this Thursday night (Sept. 12) in front of 26,012 fans at A-State’s Liberty Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Ark.
According to the A-State website, Liberty Bank Stadium capacity is 30,708.

A-State's Thursday/TV game attendance of 26,012 was somewhat better than our Saturday night draw of 25,723. Not too shabby, IMO!

Both teams had players that looked awfully fast and pretty big.
A couple of runs up the middle were as impressive as any I have seen in years.

You know the things about the playoffs that sucked were the time of year (holidays), not knowing if or where you would be playing the next week, and the poor attenance. Other than that, they were great.
The one thing I really look forward to is having one post season game that will be weeks ahead to plan for. It will allow App Nation to show how well we travel and it will a big party, regardless of the bowl name (including toilet).

Not taking Veg's side, but if we won we got another game. Bowl no matter what it is one game. Stop trying to pick a fight.

That's rich coming from you, considering you're the biggest troll on this board.
Sun Belt > FCS

You telling someone to stop trying to pick a fight is pretty funny. Like a pot calling a kettle black.
Also, I'm still waiting for veg to respond. It's a very valid question. Chance or not, we only played one postseason game. Therefore, in his eyes (and signature), there was no postseason.

Actually, once the SunBelt gets to 12 teams (which is the plan), there would potentially be a conference championship game and a bowl game. Add the extra regular season game and tha's a 15 game season. The only way to beat that in FCS is by going to the finals. So, in the existence of our program, we have exceeded what we could get (in number of games for a season) only three times and that was by ONE game (except 2005 which I think was a 12 game regular season).

Wow... I go to my little brother's one year old's birthday part and all heck breaks loose on here when I don't respond!
My sig points to the fact that a single bowl game in no way should signify a post season.
They are stupid... that is all.
My logic is this..
4 Chances to watch ASU Football play in the postseason will always trump 1 chance to see App play.
Heck I'll take one chance to see App play in Boone over one chance to see App play in a random city any day....

That's good to see... I wonder how App would do pulling people in midweek... The students would certainly be there..... But I know my entire clan (8 of us) wouldn't be able to make it up.

Well don't you even
think about going to New Orleans when we start playing in the big boy post season.
