Cignetti is a baller though. As they said he recruits production over potential; doesn’t matter what level

I'm pretty sure Cig sold his soul to the devil. Kidding, but it's amazing to turn around a program that quickly.

Cig did for Indiana what Deon was supposed to do in Colorado.

I read an answer from Cig where he said he watched every recruit himself. He knows exactly what fits his system and finds the most productive at each position that he can get within thay system. Its truly a master class effort.

We just might have to pull a branch off the Cig coaching tree one day. Simple amazing.

Agreed. Cig is pretty incredible. Sure the money helps, but this man only knows how to win.

No matter how many more games Cig wins, one of those defeats will always belong to Shawn Clark and App State.

Average age of Indiana players is 22.5, perhaps that matters.

5 of Indiana’s touchdowns came from players that lost to App.

What a dud of a game. Indiana is an amazing football team to watch.

It was nice to see Oregon get a taste of their own medicine. Lanning loves to run up the score but Indiana whipped their butts thoroughly. The last TD was trash with 20 secs left just to feel like they did something.

Cig is a unique coach and has learned a lot through his career (especially under Saban) so he becomes the bar against who all others will be measured. Don’t expect many to come close.

Cig looks for smart players. I think he will take a slower guy that understands scheme. His players are always where they should be and they run all of the possible looks on both offense and defense. Being able to hold on to players for multiple years is going to be huge in this new college football world.

Think of how good JMU would have been if he’d stayed and retained his guys that are stars for Indiana now.

That’s crazy, how many different players was that?

I can imagine the power of the unique message Cig and his staff shared with recruits last winter.

Coaches from name-brand programs: “At (Alabama/Penn State/wherever), you’ll be part of a storied tradition and play a part in winning another championship to continue that tradition.

IU Coaches: “We’re 100% committed to doing something that’s never done before: turning this forgettable football program into a national powerhouse. Do you want to be part of a program that is trying to return to glory? Or do you want to make history?

Ponds had a pick 6, Black had 2 rushing TD’s and Surratt had 2 receiving TD’s.
