We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. The portal is really like gambling. You go in taking a chance you will gain from it but sometimes you lose. It is just how it goes. Still not really bad news because it is not like he is stuck there. Players can come and go whenever.

Re: UCLA football
Anybody drawn the correlation between the fact that Nico's last name is "lame"leava and he left UT the way he did. Irony.

Re: UCLA football
Even more expensive....housing. .if he lives near Westwood and has to pay for it...that cost is 4 to 5 times more than Knoxville ....he will have about $150 per week left for groceries and gas..

Westwood
While the average Westwood house price is relatively high, it's not as high as some other areas in the Westside. The median home price in Westwood is around $1.19 million.
Median home cost in Knoxville is $350K.

Yes, been laughing since I read his name. To complement that one, ODU just had a player named Exodus to transfer (first name)

Wonder if Tulane will be in the mix since they were rumored to be going after Nico at some point..

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
There are media reports Joey would have been a backup before Nico so I would imagine the most logical for him if he wants to start is to go FCS or G5 route. He gambles too much for me to think he would be good at a P4.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:00 pmWonder if Tulane will be in the mix since they were rumored to be going after Nico at some point..
He should force UCLA to pay him because I don't see him getting 1.2M close to home out in Cali, like he wanted to get. Imagine if he comes back to the east coast and gets much less money?

Re: UCLA football
Very foolish and short sited to leave 1.2 million on the table. I get that he is "betting on himself" and hoping to play well enough for a draft pick or UDFA but he has way too many holes in his game for the NFL. He will be hard pressed to ever make 1.2 million in a year, especially in his 20s. Take the money, pay your taxes, put the rest into an investment account and forget about it while you work for the next 30 years. At that point you will be amazed at the retirement your 1 year of NIL will allow you to have. I fear he is not getting the best advice from those around him.

1000% agree. But, Tennessee has done dumb stuff before. Watch them leave him $2M cash in McDonalds takeout bags.t4pizza wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:40 pmVery foolish and short sited to leave 1.2 million on the table. I am with you here because he should be banking that 1.2M. Even if Tulane or Wake Forest gives it to him he is still far from home and getting close to home was one of the reasons he gave us in leaving. Money is always the main driver here and for him to take less to play farther from home would just look crazy to me.t4pizza wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:40 pmVery foolish and short sited to leave 1.2 million on the table. We had someone call the shot on 247 and say that Joey would beat out Nico. Guess that prediction didn't need long to age poorly. Is Tennessee dumb enough to downgrade from Nico to Joey? I really think Joey is a solid G5 QB but feel like he will struggle heavily at a P4 school.

Just hope he doesnt have to play against blue blood South Alabama again.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:51 pmI am with you here because he should be banking that 1.2M. What is crazy is that we have some fans who were saying don't be surprised if he beats out Nico and instead Joey just entered the portal to avoid any competition. Is Tennessee dumb enough to downgrade from Nico to Joey? I really think Joey is a solid G5 QB but feel like he will struggle heavily at a P4 school.
