Looking back, I am glad that he lost to Georgia Southern. When he decided to leave it felt like we had been used, it was nice that he did not have a perfect resume here.
I believe he used up our team as well. The players were never the same after that season. However, I do believe that his being here served as a cautionary tale for the future.

If we had beaten UNC-CH, Wyoming, etc last year (basically closed the deal on those games) then we would probably be the favored child this year. We have to close the deal for the season under the current staff to get that benefit of the doubt. IMO.
Yes, it hurt to say that, because I was in Kidd Brewer when App beat Georgia Southern in '87, 19-0. However, at the time all we knew about Georgia Southern was they were the two time defending national champions.
