I'm not a fan of the Holes by any stretch, but I'd be royally pissed if I was.....UNC is now tethered to NC State and can't make any moves without dragging them along....could you imagine us being denied moving to the Sunbelt the BOG because the Sunbelt didn't invite Western?

The schools have done it to themselves. Poor decisions and mismanagement leads to regulation and oversight. ie UNC "we won't play App again" even though it was the most anticipated OOC game on the schedule, sold out and one of the highest ticket prices at either venue. Unrelated to topic, but not unrelated to bad decisions leading to oversight.

The way I read the articles is that the UNC Board of Governers is trying to create stability within the state college and universities. One of the unique things about North Carolina is the fact that it is the only state that has four schools in the same conference. Think also about how North Carolina is where one must go in order to be competitive in four professional sports: stock car racing, drag racing, monster trucks, and pro wrestling.
