I’m watching College Football Final. ESPN running scores for top 25. The 17Az. Score comes up then 19 ND. They skip over 18 JMU! Like number 18 doesn’t exist. At the end of the show they did highlights of ASU JMU. still did not designate JMU as 18. Is that due to probation or SBC can’t get any respect?

Depends on the rankings they chose to use. If it’s CFP, then JMU wasn’t ranked. If it was AP, then they’re just not showing any respect.

As someone else said the reason is because they go by the CFP Top 25 so JMU was not being hidden because of the embarrassment but simply the fact the committee did not consider them.

It’s important to remember that ESPN is the official television partner of the “College Football Playoff.” So, as soon as the CFP rankings start, ESPN ignores all other rankings as “irrelevant.”

The above is facts, but if you want to get into tinfoil hat territory, it’s interesting how every year the first couple of CFP rankings seem off. Like how they put Ohio State at #1 over UGA for basically no reason… until you consider how much air time ESPN has to fill with sports debates…

I did the same thing and when they finally showed the highlights it was all JMU until of course the 1 highlight of the game winning TD. Pissed me off.

Losing a few players of this caliber this season on defense set us back 3/4 of the season, but the scheme changes and the buy in by the team has us looking sharp. NT (don't know his name) preseason, Harrington injury, McCloud portal all difference makers. I guess weve benefitted from portal too.
