So in your mind early season losses don't really have much affect on how a team progresses thru the season - Of course, pre-season rankings mean nothing but those teams were ranked on what "experts" thought of the team at that point ---
If you don't understand that concept - well ---

Those “experts” are often wrong and badly missed on A&M, Miami, and Arkansas. Every year people laugh about certain teams being inflated by media and A&M was that team this year. Some experts thought we were the best team in the Sun Belt and we turned out to be a mediocre team, at beast.

We all understand what the rankings were but they they were way off. TCU wasn’t even ranked in the preseason and now they are in the CFP.

We also don’t know how UNC would have finished had we beat them. A&M has a lot of problems that UNC does not have so I’m not sure that they would have tanked.

3 years ago when we were receiving pre-season votes, the early polls were much more reliable.

100%. It’s nice to be ranked or getting votes but if the team isn’t ranked or receiving votes now then it doesn’t matter. That win looked good at the time but the only thing that win was now was a SEC win for us. They were awful so nothing to brag about anymore.

Did just notice another one of coastal QBs is now in the portal as of yesterday. Be interesting what happens with them I guess.

Wondering if McCall is coming back to get experience in a pro style offense under his new OC. Draft stock dropped and he has nowhere else to go that would be an upgrade.
