So GASO and La-La both end the year with losing records...and App ends with a .500 record, plus a bunch of awesome recruits.
Never want App to miss bowl season, but it appears to have turned out fine after all.

Yes. Feel like it’s a mild cold with a low grade headache.
Hope this past season was an aberration.
So now I’m confused, you talking about the Covid or the season?

Forgive the jokes brother. Hope you recover quickly.

Glad my team doesn’t wear pants with a big GATA emblazoned down each leg. Fits Georgia Southern perfectly though. Embarrassing.
I brought this up at the school where I teach. We have kids who are planning on making a huge mistake and attending GA Southern when they graduate. They walk around schools with GATA sweatshirts and tshirts. How does that not break our dress code rules against inappropriate speech/images on clothing? Nobody in admin has gotten back to me yet.
Do you teach in NC?
No, Georgia.

Ha Ha. Last season was much worse than this Covid. Probably won’t have recurring nightmares about the Covid, unlike last season. Thank you for the well wishes.

Tested positive for Covid this morning so I am at home watching the Camellia Bowl. GS vs Buffalo. Both of these teams look better than we did this season. A lot better. Low scoring but I like the play calling and execution. GS looks like a program on the rise. Next year should be interesting.
I mean, we played GS, and they were not better than us. But we found a way to lose to them anyway.
Exactly, good teams find ways to win.
1) Neither App nor GS was a good team this year.

2) We found a way to win against Troy. Doesn't mean we were better than them.

3) I would argue the GS game was more App "finding a way to lose."

4) Games that are that close tend to even out over time. "Winners win" is a nice catchprase, but in reality luck and chance play a big role.

Really?

Had App gone to a bowl game, it's highly likely they would've lost and ended 2022 with a losing season. Does anyone truly think we would've magically turned things around for one final hurrah? Doubtful.

We didn't qualify to go to a bowl and frankly, didn't deserve to go. But soul searching happened, the house got cleaned (including Geep, praise the LORD) and we've got some great recruits coming in 2023.

IMO, better to qualify for a bowl, even at 6-6, and losing as compared to not qualifying and staying home. The SBC bowl related bowl games are typically early in bowl season. A school has plenty of time to reflect and make changes in late December and early January. The coaches conference is not until January anyway.
It is a weak response to say it is better we did not make a bowl, etc. We were cleaning house no matter if we qualified or not.
I will always prefer bowling versus not bowling. Just my opinion.

I would rather make the playoffs than go bowling...

However, soon we will be able to do both. They need 16 teams so no one gets an unfair advantage. Would North Dakota State have won so many titles if they did not have a bye week?

They would have. Instead of a bye they would have played a first round game against a hapless Patriot League team.

It stunk fairly consistently from half time with JMU on.
