Glad he got out before he was let go. He didn't set the world on fire in Louisville but don't forget what a dumpster fire he walked into. He lost the fan base when he went after SC but I don't blame him for that. Cincinnati should be a good fit for him. Good luck to him.

Really bush league to put your brand new coach in that spot. Then again I wonder if stuff like this happens on purpose so the new school can make sure he doesn't have a last-minute change of heart.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 10:37 amI have not read this thread fully so it may have already been discussed, but the reason Satt "didn't tell his players" is because it wasn't supposed to be leaked yet. He had a meeting scheduled with his players today. Someone at Cincy leaked it and their athletic department announced it before he could address it. Realy put Satt in a bad spot.

That's exactly why it's done. Remember it happened to us when GaSo announced Sloan as their DC before he even signed anything.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 11:13 amReally bush league to put your brand new coach in that spot. Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
All the louisville players are dragging him on social. There's dozens of players and commits talking about him in that way.

I expect them to be upset but this doesn’t make them look good. What good coach wants to walk into that? They need to show some proof or it just sounds like sour grapes.

Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
I haven't looked at any of the other tweets, but I don't totally buy that. If this was the type of coach Satt was, it would have shown a lot earlier, and I don't remember seeing anything like that before. Sounds like some fellas got their fee-fees hurt because the boss decided to go be boss somewhere else. I'd like to see that ratio of players dragging Satt on twitter to players who will transfer to Cincy with him.

Idk. Desperate people do desperate things and at that point Scott was in pretty deep shit with ULMrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:22 pmI haven't looked at any of the other tweets, but I don't totally buy that. Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
Interesting you say that, because our own players tweeting negatively about our HC here were taken at their word.
Not directed at you specifically, just interesting that our guy Satterfield at Louisville gets more grace than our guy SC here in Boone.

Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
Maybe if Satterfield had ever missed a bowl game while coaching at App, people would be less positive about him.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:26 pmInteresting you say that, because our own players tweeting negatively about our HC here were taken at their word.

So you believe the App players about SC, but not the Louisville players about Satterfield, because Satterfield won bowl games at App?MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:31 pmMaybe if Satterfield had ever missed a bowl game while coaching at App, people would be less positive about him.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:26 pmInteresting you say that, because our own players tweeting negatively about our HC here were taken at their word.

Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
I bet there's plenty of crap Satterfield could talk about Louisville and the players there. I bet he won't. That's the difference between a mature grown man and young men who haven't experienced life yet. Scott's made some mistakes but he and Louisville are now both better off.

Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
It's not a good look regardless, for either side. But such is life in CFB, especially when dealing with young men and social media

I'm saying winning fixes a lot of problems. I think in both cases you had young men letting their emotions get the best of them, and there's problem some truth and some exaggerations in every case.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:37 pmSo you believe the App players about SC, but not the Louisville players about Satterfield, because Satterfield won bowl games at App?MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:31 pmMaybe if Satterfield had ever missed a bowl game while coaching at App, people would be less positive about him.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:26 pmInteresting you say that, because our own players tweeting negatively about our HC here were taken at their word.

Yes I think we share a similar sentiment towards the players posting then. Across the board.MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:57 pmI'm saying winning fixes a lot of problems. Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
With this apparent "bad blood," the question is will Scott take any players with him. And talk about a fiasco, y'all been following Coach Prime's transition to Colorado? "Yeah, the quarterback is coming, and 10-11 others, and they dawgs." I can't even imagine how I would feel about him coming in to be my coach if I was a player.

Re: SATTERFIELD TO CINCY
Well they just went 1-11 and have the second worst winning percentage among power 5 programs since 2006. That place needs a scorched earth reset.goapps93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 1:10 pmWith this apparent "bad blood," the question is will Scott take any players with him.
